Been to this pub on numerous occasions over the years, usually when walking the area, or specially for Sunday Lunch and have previously provided a positive review. The interior has received a make over, which was due. However what wasn't required was the loss of lunchtime "Good Pub Food" - shame really! Lunch time menu is varied, but lacks the...

The South Yorkshire Luncheon Four tried the Travellers yesterday. On the whole we all had a good lunch, great chips. Two courses for £8-95, good value. The menu not extensive but adequate. The car park isn't very big, we found the service O K.

So good here we have been three times in four weeks. Lovely food and great staff. I like the thick cut of the meat and veg served separate so you can have as much or as little as you like. As standard you also receive a generous gravey boat.

This was my first visit here and I can honestly say, the food here was absolutely delicious. Home made chips were the best I've eaten in any restaurant/pub. I can't recommend this place enough. The staff were so friendly and made you feel welcome. They couldn't do enough for you. The chef needs praise too! Well done for your cullanery...

It is worth eating hear just because of the treacle sponge! Could be a venue for the Barnsley pudding club. The rest of the food was good but the treacle sponge was outstanding. Much improved venue "well worth a visit"

Jane has really brought the travellers up to date. The refurbishment is excellent. Modern, but still homely and warm. Great atmosphere in both the bar and restaurant, and can't fault the homecooked food for quality and value. Top tip: try some of the specialty gins. Brockmans our current favourite.

Thank Orla B
