I am disappointed that even though I gave 2 weeks notice, they wouldn't refund the one nights stay I had paid for. I explained that in the confirmation email it says "we can't refund a deposit", but I paid in full, so surely I should get something back!!!!! I emailed after an unhelpful call and haven't even had an acknowledgement...

Stayed 2 nights. Never again. As in another review, the rooms were cold!! It seemed very run down, not worth what we paid. The food not good. Not that ate much!! I had informed them twice that I was a Coeliac and no provision was made. All I could have for breakfast was orange juice!! Our visit was for my...

I'm not sure I would trust any of the reviews on here that give this property anything more than two stars. OK, it is fair to say that maybe in it's day, several decades ago, the hotel may have been tasteful, however that is questionable. The original room which I was given was filthy, stains on the sheets, holes in...

Stayed two nights. It was a very poor experience. The room was very cold as was parts of the building. The heating comes on at set times [night time with heating off was very uncomfortable]. When we complained, the staff could not help! On the whole the staff were friendly but helpless ... a sad situation.

Grand old Victorian hotel seems to have a 50s facia on the front. Inside Victorian and a credit to Stoke's history being next door to the former Royal Doulton factory. The executive rooms are good. Hotel ok to put your head down for a few hours after a night out if you are in the cheapest rooms. Doesn't really put...

Have stayed at this hotel several times when visiting family in Burslem. Lovely and warm, very efficient and friendly staff with nothing too much trouble for them. Special thanks to Sam, Barbara and John for making us feel really welcome. We will definitely be back as soon as possible.

Stayed overnight on business. More of a two star than a three. Staff are friendly. But the place is more of a hostel than hotel. Carpets throughout the building need updating heating goes off during the night so wrap up. Too much money for the stay in my opinion.

We stayed one night here whilst visiting the potteries, on entering the place looks tired and dated, in the dining room the carpet had tape along the carpet where it had frayed, the bedroom was awful, very basic, bed was old and uncomfortable as it dipped in the middle right across the width but sheets where clean, the only other...

Room smelt of fags, shower didnt work, bed sheets covered in stains, very thin walls so I was woke up by a couple that checked in at 2am and they kept me awake until I had to leave for work at 7. Would not stay again.

Should have been held in the ballroom but was held in the dining room as there was not enough people to make this viable. Not the hotels fault. The dance floor was a bit small. Disco was fine when he got warmed up. The buffet was excellent could not fault it. We stayed the night. Room was a bit dated...
