We always feel welcome and comfortable at Fairhaven. Ideal location for walking and North Yorkshire moors railway as well as the coast. Plenty of lovely places to dine in the evening just a short drive. Fantastic staff, nothing is too much trouble. Our last stay was in March when we took friends for their first time. Going back beginning July...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us… and thank you for such a lovely one! We have just been introduced to TripAdvisor’s ‘Review Express’ tool and are still figuring out exactly how to use it, so I’m sorry if you were thanked for staying with us ‘recently’ when your stay could have been...

The location of this Guest House is second to none, in possibly the best area to explore the moors and coastline if you have a car and like walking. The welcome from the staff was exceptional, I have never felt inclined to write a review here before but the family bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable, from maps...

The room was spotless and beautifully appointed. The greeting upon arrival was warm and friendly and that friendliness remained throughout. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and set us up for the day. The whole guest house had character. The area is beautiful, Heartbeat country and close to Whitby and any number of other sites of interest and attractions. When we...

My wife and I took advantage of a Winter Warmer special and what a wonderful two night break it was. Met by Keith in the car park who carried our bags in and made us feel very welcome. The room was quite large, nicely decorated, warm and the bed comfortable. The dinner as part of the special was wonderful and...

From the moment we knocked on the front door to the moment we stepped out of the hotel to leave, we were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble, every courtesy extended and hotel service offered that we could have wished for. Liz, Kelly and Keith are top drawer hosts, typical Yorkshire humour, right up our street,...

Haha, seems like a broken record, everybody says the same thing about Fairhaven. I had no complaints when I stayed here in early November (2015). The entire family is attentive and friendly. The owner spent perhaps half an hour discussing the best route to take when walking the moors given my schedule/lack of boots. Best value of the 10 places...

Lovely guest house. Great hosts. Hospitable, knowledgable. Nothing was too much trouble - tea and cakes on arrival.Good size room en suite overlooking the moors. Easy parking onsite. When it rained our waterproofs were dried for us. Lively sheep trying to nibble the garden despite the cattle grid! Excellent place for walking or sightseeing in the North Yorkshire Moors.
