Excellent place to stay and great value for money. Sheila cannot do enough for you. Great atmosphere and enthusiastic owners. Great food. No bad points whatsoever but would recommend an small outside light above the door in the evening as gets very dark. Would have no hesitation coming here again. Thanks for the hospitality shown. Once again my wife and I had a relaxing 4 night break at this wonderful B&B. Nothing is too much trouble for Sheila and Andy. The room was pristine with a view over the valley to die for. As for the breakfast, it's now becoming legendary!!! We have already booked again for next year and are counting the weeks down!

What a gem, we arrived and was greeted with hot drinks and the most delicious home made cakes, the Lemmon drizzle divine. Our hosts could not be more helpful and nothing was any trouble they even give us a lift to the railway station and offered to bring us back after our evening excursion on the NYR dinner evening. Heatherdene is " home away from home". Friendly, warm reception, beautiful room, great breakfasts! We keep coming back from the West Coast of Canada to this cozy B&B in the centre of "Heartbeat Country". Sheila and Andy make you feel like family - and the breakfasts are well presented -and DELICIOUS! We'll be back! (again)

First time we have stayed here, although we very often stay in Goathland. Cetainly will phone next time we are visiting to see if Heatherdene have any availability. Very clean and friendly, lovely breakfast, private parking and an ideal location for the Yorkshire moors. Barbara and Paul

Goathland is more than Heartbeat. It is a central location for local woodland and waterfall walks as well as a key station for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. It is also within easy reach of the splendid coastal villages of Saltburn, Staithes, Runswick Bay, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. The Heatherdene is also more than B and B, because Sheila...

We recently made our 2nd visit to the Heatherdene, and once again Sheila and Andy were delightful hosts. The breakfast room is airy and light and the food is great. Ample parking, clean rooms and comfy guest lounge with bar, really make this B&B a home from home.

It is difficult to review this wonderful establishment as I don't believe that I know enough superlatives in order to fully explain my stay. A lovely, charming guest house, a beautiful, spacious room, wonderful food and absolutely lovely hosts, this would go some way to describing my stay with Sheila and Andy at Heatherdene. I am already organising next year’s...
