My Partner and I stayed here for one night with our dog. Very accommodating as they have dogs walking around the pub. The daytime staff advised us that they were shutting the pub for an hour while we were out having a walk. When we returned we had to ring the bell to be let in. Felt a little in...

stayed in room 9, upstairs superior, with ensuite shower room. Very comfortable and cosy. Hosts so friendly and welcoming. Food, especially the steak pie, is excellent. Lovely little Riley the terrier is an added bonus. It's in a very quiet and peaceful location, ideal for rest and relaxation.

We dropped in The Castle Arms Inn after attending a wedding in Leyburn and were looking for a Sunday lunch en route home. All in all, it was a lovely experience. The pub itself is warm, cosy, came with a good welcome. It also had two open fires simmering away. We ordered the beef and turkey roast dinners, respectively. We...

We spent a 2 night break here between Xmas and New Year and it was money well spent. Its everything you expect and hope for when booking a few nights away in a Yorkshire village, very traditional but with a modern menu. We were made to feel very welcome, even our dog was given a small breakfast...of sausages of course...

Nice decor, but not the most welcoming place and the terrier bit my son's leg hard (see photo) as my son walked past him. The TV also didn't work in the kids room and the heating was turned off at 10pm in the rooms even when its frosty outside so we had to ask for a radiator as we were...

I was picking up my daughter the next day in Masham, and found this place for an overnight stay at a very reasonable price. It is a traditional pub with open fires. The accommodation is across a small courtyard and was very nice indeed. Everything was very clean and smart looking, they obviously take pride in the place. Venturing back...

Stayed here for two nights, a break before the Christmas rush begins in earnest. This is a really lovely tradional country inn. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door. The room although quite small was adequate for our needs ,and spotless with quality bed linen and lovely white towels. Breakfast had everything you could...

We chose this location as it we needed a stop-off up the A1 but I wanted a nice walk so Snape fit the bill. We arrived early on a Monday afternoon and the only thing to say about that is you need to make arrangements as the owners close on Monday afternoons. We had room 3 which is part of...

The Castle Arms is conveniently close to Bedale where we visit elderly parents. Cosy rooms are tastefully kitted out and ensuite bathrooms are spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The beds are comfortable and there are tea/coffee making facilities as well as a wall-mounted television. Rooms are situated in outbuildings facing an attractive courtyard area. A relaxed 'local' atmosphere is blended with...
