I recently stayed at Elmfield House whilst visiting the local area on business. With work having already booked the accommodation for me, I read the trip advisor reviews, browsed the photo's and surveyed the surrounding area to plan ahead for a 7 day stay. I was greeted by Kirsty on arrival who was very welcoming and friendly. She gave me... More

We only stayed one night - on a (VERY) wet, windy night in November. A very warm welcome - and lovely home-baked apple cake with coffee on arrival! Nothing was too much trouble and helpful advice about where to go for dinner. Rooms were great - spacious and quiet. Breakfast was very tasty with generous portions! Great, convivial experience!

Set in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire this B&B gives you great access to the surrounding areas. The place it's self is set back away from the main road in beautiful grounds with a fantastic woodland trail and fishing lake complete with it's very own Kingfisher & Heron competing for the catch of the day. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us at Elmfield House Bed and Breakfast. Thank you for finding the time to review us. The kingfisher can be a little shy, but we are pleased that the occasional shower of rain didn't stop you from enjoying a stroll round our lake and wood and meeting some of the "locals."... More

We only booked a week or so before our holiday, which necessitated a change of rooms during our stay. But am I glad we took the chance, for it was one of the pleasantest b & b's I've stayed in. Clean and attractive rooms; excellent breakfast; friendly owners: what better?
