Just passing through on a short stay over. Wonderful menu with good selection, reasonably priced and perfectly prepared. Well done ! Worth visiting for the food alone. This country hotel was charming but perhaps could do with a bit of a makeover in the public areas. But don't let that detract you from visiting. Staff attentive and helpful. Would happily...

My wife and I have recently returned from another two-night stay at the Worsley Arms and agree it's like visiting an old friend. This 1840s hotel simply oozes charm and is quite literally country-house living at its best, Great food, wonderful wine, friendly attentive staff and the chance to pat a dog or two. A persuasive way to relax for...

We booked two nights, last minute, over the Easter weekend to visit family. Room was a little small but very clean, had a comfy bed and a fab shower. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but the menu looked very nice. Breakfast was very tasty and local produce used. Staff were very friendly and attentive and loved the little...

Dear karenpattenden Thank you for your positive review, sorry if the room was a bit small but the larger ones do book up quickly especially over the bank holidays. It was a pleasure to welcome you and we look forward to your return when maybe we can tempt you into the restaurant or bar for dinner! Regards Tony Finn

This was a last minute booking for the nights of Good Friday and Easter Saturday as we needed to "recharge batteries" following a recent bereavement. We were located in one of the cottages over the road from the main hotel, which was very spacious and well appointed. The menu was extensive and many local ingredients were used in the dishes....

Stayed here one night in a cottage room across the green. Warm welcome from receptionist, room (18) was ready for refurbishment, bed headboard badly stained, bed valance desperately in need of ironing, bathroom spacious but had serious mould problem. Be aware when booking a twin room, the price shown will increase to that of a king size, a twin room...

Dear 215rosieg Thank you for your review, I am sorry that you were disappointed with your room. As for the tariff, it was explained when the booking was made and in the two resulting phone conversations that your complimentary voucher only covered a standard double room and that a supplement of £20.00 would be applied. On that basis you accepted...

This was our third visit to the Worsley Arms and we received a very warm welcome on our arrival. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a lovely view over the pretty village green. There was some traffic noise because we chose to have the window open but it did not disturb our sleep. The bathroom was large enough and...

Dear mumshoes1 Thank you for your review, I am sorry for the confusion concerning your rooms on arrival, however in fairness to ourselves please lets not forget that we were forced to switch rooms to accommodate one of your party who required a walk in shower. Had we been informed of this in advance rooms would have been allocated accordingly....

Stayed here for 2 nights. On first entering reception it was very cosy with log fires burning and a nicely set out seating lounge area. Although staying with dogs rooms were situated on the first floor and having a double room for single occupancy was a bonus as the room was spacious and comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean on...

Well established, old fashioned hotel in the best sense of the term. Our room was in the main building and very comfortable, daily room service excellent and very customer friendly as were all the staff and owners. We stayed 2 nights with dinner on Saturday which was excellent. We chose from the steak menu. We were able to have dinner...

We were given a warm welcome by a lovely lady, who also offered our dog a dog chew! We were taken over the road to our cottage room, which was lovely, warm and homely.
