I would highly recommend the Kings Head to anyone looking for accommodation in the area. The welcome, the staff, the food, the room & the overall surroundings were all absolutely spot .... We will return at some point in the very near future minus the man flu!!

Reason being is that for one visit can be unfair. Well today, superb, Fredrick is back, the chef, and Steve & Maria really are wonderful. Attention to detail is...

After a long day walking and nearly getting lost in the fog on the moor we were delighted to find the Kings Head Hotel. It was warm and welcoming and the staff could not have been more friendly. We all really enjoyed fantastic home cooked food and the bill was a steal.... Would thoroughly recommend!

On a short break in Helmsley and not wishing to be squeezed into a cafe with lots of other tourists we called in to the Kings Head and we were glad we did. We had a lovely lunch and were looked after by the lovely Maria. The Kings Head is a hidden gem, we will definitely return when we are...

We have been to this great pub many times - both as a family and as a couple. The atmosphere is always very welcoming and the staff are very friendly and the food is good pub grub. We love it and will be back.

We were looked after extremely well from the moment we arrived until we left. Everyone at the hotel took an equal interest in our comfort and needs throughout the entire stay. Room was very comfortable indeed (wifi didn't work perfectly upstairs, but it could have been my device) food was good and the service perfect.

Came to visit Yorkshire and stayed in Pickering. We ventured out looking for somewhere new to eat. On arrival the bar area looked nice but we were sat in the back which looked like a kitchen in an everyday house. Starters we had the chicken pate served with 1 slice of toast. We asked for some more bread for them...

We called whilst we were in the area as we have booked rooms for the entire bridal party for a family wedding in the area next summer! Although we arrived unannounced, Steve and Maria could not have been more accommodating! The warmth and friendliness was evident from the moment we walked in, and thank you Maria for showing us round...
