Stayed at Kings Head for one night in March. Room was tired but OK with the smallest bathroom imaginable. Beer was excellent. Clearly very well kept. I ordered food (bangers and mash). It took 40 mins to arrive and when it did I asked for ketchup. That arrived by the time I had eaten half my dinner at which point...

The Kings Head is a nice pub. They have parking for a few cars but if it's full there is a public car park just behind the pub or, as we found, unrestricted parking on the main road out front. The people running the pub are very nice and throughout our brief stay we found all the staff to be...

Our 3rd stay here and a different room again. All 3 rooms we have stayed in are very clean, with comfy beds and all different from each other. This time we stayed in room 5 which is on the front over looking the high street. As the building is very old the floor in this room has a slight slope...

We had booked for New Years Eve. Arrived Saturday afternoon to be warmly greeted by Maria. After unpacking, (room clean and comfy) went down to bar and the locals were very friendly. Dinner was excellent. The evening disco played our kind of music (70/80) and everyone had a great time. Unforuneately we did not complete our stay, due to illness,...

I chose this as a place in the middle of where I wanted to explore. Only a few rooms in the building; 9 I understand and I certainly got one of the more quirky ones. Bed was comfortable and room was warm but nowhere to store necessary items close to the bed head, so had to get out of bed...

Totally agree with the previous review - definitely a great find. Steve made us very welcome as did the staff. Good food, comfortable room and friendly well stocked bar. We would certainly go back and would recommend the Kings Head.

My wife and I stayed for one evening over the weekend. We were very pleased with the friendly welcome, comfortable accommodation, cheerful, polite staff and excellent food. The beers on the bar were good too. Looking forward to going back and staying a little longer.

I have just spent 2 nights here in the comfy, cosy cottage in the courtyard. This is such a lovely place and I feel very privileged to have found it. I stayed with my family and the purpose of the visit was to go to Flamingo Land, which is only 8 miles away, for a day out in half term....

I arrived later on a Sunday evening and staff seemed a bit lost with the fact that I had booked in and arrived at 8.00 pm. The room was small and clean, with no complaints. There is WiFi available but ridiculously they don't provide the code in the rooms meaning that if you need internet access, as I did for...
