Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent two days with friends in this establishment. Very satisfied with the services offered by this hotel.
From the reception, a warm, smiling, professional welcome from the two ladies at the “wicket”. In the event of a more serious problem, their boss Ricardo is there to resolve any differences as best as possible.
The rooms have not changed, beautiful bathroom with shower and bathtub, excellent bedding, balcony overlooking the swimming pool.
As for the restaurant, we also really enjoyed: the pan-fried foie gras, the seared scallops, the stale beef on the bone and the Valais wines!
The swimming pools are very warm and are good for our joints.
We landed in Saillon following a problem in Yverdon where we had initially booked. One week before your stay, telephone: we are sorry, but we received a group of 100 people on the same dates as you. There will be a lot of noise, a lot of people in the swimming pools, queues at the restaurant. In a word, we need your rooms. Three proposals: refund, change of date or travel to Saillon, under the same conditions.
According to OCTORAT, a hotel must, in the event of overbooking, relocate under the same conditions or better. We agreed to be relocated to Saillon.
As we made a gesture towards the hotel, we noticed, after asking for the new conditions in Saillon, that the rooms were smaller, that the 20% bonus we had in Yverdon had turned into 10%.
I phone the Yverdon reception to tell them that we have accepted the rehousing, can't they make a move? I am received by the chef who tells me that these are the same conditions and who does not budge. As I feel he is impervious to discussion, I tell him that it is impossible to discuss with him and I turn off the phone.
5 minutes later, he calls me back to tell me I'm rude and he screams, impossible to get a word in. We tell him that we are going to give a negative review. With Laurent’s agreement, this is done.

Luxury and high standard hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bedding is quality with a breathtaking view of the baths and the Swiss Alps.

The restaurant is ok, without any big surprises. This would also be a point of improvement for a hotel of this type, but it is adequate nonetheless.

The baths, spa and pools are absolutely amazing. The hot baths are just crazy and very enjoyable.
Small downside: a lot of people, particularly due to the fact that the baths are not privatized for hotel guests.

We recommend 100% and we will return!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days, the last day being a Sunday. Comfortable hotel, but a little dated (the old wing), spacious rooms, fairly clean. The bedding and furniture are starting to date. Very average on-site catering, no place where you feel comfortable. The thermal baths are open to the general public, so there are quite a few crowds, especially on Sundays. Coming back we would stay there 3 nights during the week to avoid the crowds.

When adapting prices to the high demand during the holiday season, we must still ensure the services due to guests in a 4* hotel. Disastrous breakfasts and shabby service at the Bastide. This is not correct in view of the asking price. Not to mention the overcrowded baths where hotel guests have neither dedicated access nor reserved time slot. In search of a little calm if you go to the spa , you are charged an extra CHF 30.—. The car park is also full. We had to park the car by the wayside on the return walk.
Despite all our comments on site not a bottle of water offered... we really liked coming to the baths but there we are cold for a while!

the area a beauty, but the hotel leaves to be desired, room 311, overall the hotel very well but the staff leaves much to be desired.

A lot of Switzerland where things think it is perfectly, because restaurant of the hotel to my mother the salmon tartare made him vomit all night, 82 years old.

The staff dropped it and broke a glass bottle and the shavings went off hitting my arm or thinking if it falls in my eye and no apologies or anything.

Restaurant that needs to be closed immediately.

After paying for a suite, I was asked twice at breakfast for the room number, there being a check in for it.

Finally, hiring a company that does a good wifi site survey is fatal the internet and the coverage of it.

Total disappointment, obligation to book 3 nights at this time, we do not think of people who work, so we book 3 nights and enjoy only 2 days.
Overcrowded swimming pools and baths, no respect, silence not respected in saunas and hamman where we have to queue. Already that at this time the prices are very high we pay an extra 30 chf to enjoy the SPA which is top but all indoors.
We had booked the restaurant for New Year’s Eve and when we arrived at the restaurant more room because we had not specified that we wanted the New Year’s Eve menu. Of course we book for new year to eat pizza... No information beforehand. So we eat in the à la carte restaurant, no festive atmosphere, no tablecloths and a more than disappointing meal... with a hair on one of the plates. Catastrophic.
Very disappointing for a high price at this time.
I don't recommend it.

It didn't start very well with an early check in which was not taken into account. Our room was spacious and perfect for a couple and two children but some details are disappointing (aging part of the hotel, no bottle opener, no remote control to close the room shutters, view of the parking lot, etc.)
On the other hand, the Italian restaurant is good, the staff is very pleasant and it is ideal if you dine there with your children thanks to the magic tree…
The bathing experience is also perfect with children. Yes there are people but by being at the hotel you can choose the best times. What would be ideal would be to have a few slots only for hotel guests.
So in general a good place to spend a family weekend, especially with young children. But since the details make the difference, there are small areas for improvement.

Hotel that well deserves its four stars. Spacious, functional, beautiful and comfortable room. Impeccable and friendly staff. Quality linens, bathrobes and slippers provided. Restaurants with varied atmospheres for all types of desires and profiles. Superb Sunday brunch! Booking a night in a hotel gave us free access to the baths for two days. Everything is designed for our comfort: luggage storage, provision of bath accessories from arrival until departure. Options such as late check-out are also offered. Coupled with the baths it is a superb place to relax. There is also a store with beautiful and varied products. I highly recommend this place for an extra weekend!

Spacious, well-equipped, functional room with a large balcony,
Magnificent surrounding landscape, vineyards, mountains surround us,
Delicious breakfast and dinner, a varied menu, quality products, a top-notch pizza maker who prepares sublime, hearty and generous pizzas,
The plus of the Establishment, animals welcome,
In conclusion, a most pleasant stay.

Part of the hotel is a bit old, it would deserve a new one. The rooms are spacious and the welcome pleasant. It's handy to be able to go down to the bathtub in a bathrobe.
Breakfast is very good, however, on December 26, it was full and there was a lot missing, at one point there were not even plates...
