Comfortable and eleg, ant rooms, divinely excellent and delicious food, outdoor pools for adults and children. Friendly and helpful staff. The Hotel Oasi da Paolo is a true oasis of peace and tranquility immersed in the beauty of the nature of the Valley of Olives. You can rent a bicycle at the Hotel with which to reach the beaches: Seno of Arena (a cove of red sand, a small Paradise) and the Bay of Santa Margherita.

I booked a quadruple room for a three night stay in San Vito lo Capo. First of all, this hotel is NOT in San Vito lo Capo, it’s a 10 minute drive into town and the area it’s in is a ghost town. There is nothing worth walking to. You will need to get in a car and drive to restaurants, the beach, the market, etc. Do not let the address fool you. We booked a quadruple room on Expedia for our family of four and paid $500 for three nights. However, when we arrived they informed me the room was booked for only three people. This is NOT what I booked. I booked for four, in a quad room with four beds. We waited for 20 min for someone to show up at check in and when they did they told us we needed to pay an addition 45 euro/night for one more person. I agreed because we were so tired from travel but I offered an explanation and tried to show them that on Expedia I did not pick 3 people, but rather chose between a double, triple or quad room. This infuriated the desk clerk and he COULD NOT hear that I wasn’t arguing, just explaining. He repeated himself about 20 times and was very aggravated. When we got to our room there were only three beds (the reservation said 4) and the room was stiflingly hot. They were NOT prepared for our arrival at all. They call this room a superior but the beds are hard as a rock with one tiny pillow, the extra beds are cots, also very hard. The room was dirty, it smelled bad and there is mold in the bathroom. The pool photos in their add are totally misleading. The pool is tiny and what they call a kiddie pool is essentially a fountain. We are traveling on a budget and I was still willing to pay the extra but after we drove into San Vito lo Capo and saw all the lovely B&Bs we literally left this hotel without a word. I’ve never done this before but it was not worth the $500 to waste three days of vacation on this hotel. This is literally the only place in Italy I was not greeted like an old friend. Totally overpriced, falsely represented and miserable staff who you have to track down for help. There are amazing, clean, friendly guest houses on every corner in San Vito. Go there.

Response from OasiRelax, Proprietario at Hotel Oasi da Paolo
Responded 24 Jun 2019
Good morning, we are not used to responding to reviews because it is right that everyone has the opportunity to express their experience without being conditioned by those who manage or live the structure. With her I will make an exception and I fully assume myself, Giuseppe Grammatico as responsible for everything that will be written. She was a very rude guest, if someone made a mistake in booking that is the agency she booked with, as she chose a type indicated as quadruple on the platform she selected and it was a room of about 22sqm with private and equipped terrace available, but as confirmed by you, the reservation was made for 3 adults. I explained to her at check-in that services such as bincheria from bed, breakfast and all the services available in the structure would have been used by 4 guests and not by 3 as per her reservation, and that at this point a supplement would have been applied, given the misunderstanding of only € 35 a day. Let's go on, the pool, specifically what you call for children, is a jacuzzi, which you didn't even bother to look at and I also see it as difficult, that you could see the size of the pool open to everyone as you after entering into camera came out of stealth disappearing like a ghost, without motivating his escape, as he was running away from something I don't know. On hard beds I would like to put a big point, because in our structure you do not sleep on beds with classic nets but on sommier, to ensure a higher quality in sleep, but probably you don't even know what they are. On the cleaning of the room I add only that for generations our structure has a family management and in fact they always take care of the cleaning owners, never delegating to anyone. Finally I would still like to say that she left the air conditioner turned on at 16 degrees of cold, maybe she was so hot and taken by her rudeness that she didn't even hear the air conditioner on. However, I would urge you to call Expedia directly with your agency and simply ask: could you tell me how many people had already paid for your stay? With this answer you should have at least an apology, but I think it is a gentlemanly behavior that does not suit you, given the violent escape that has characterized you. I hope to continue to receive guests from all over the world, but I would like not to have the possibility of being able to accommodate fugitives like you again.

this review is just about food, we didn´t stay in the hotel. It was okeyish but not that I would recommend going there again. The salad was not fresh and contained yellow leaves. The pizza was not worth mentioning and local pasta specialities were below standard

This ia review for the restaurant only, as it is open for everyone, not just the hotel guests. As I said, we haven't stayed at the hotel, but we were taken to the Ristorante "Oasi da Paolo" by friends who are locals and they recommended its cuisine. From outside, the restaurant doesn't look much, and even as you enter the furniture is outdated, and you feel you're in the wrong place. But then you pass the passage and you enter to a big garden with tables, and it suddenly seems worth your while. Nice for families with children! There was a buffet table which looked really appetizing, but as we were there with friends and they knew the owner and went straight to the list of that evening's specialties, we thought the buffet was only for hotel guests. Now, reading the other reviews here, it doesn't seem so, so if you're an out-of-hotel visitor, ask for the buffet, as it looked really yummy! :) The food is typical for the area, big portions, and everything was good. Shrimp cocktail, cous cous, busiate alla Norma, almonds parfait slices... Highly recommended! The prices are average for that area, too.

We stayed for a night during a road trip. The rooms are huge, clean and silent. The food was very good and the family running the hotel is extremely welcoming.
