After a long journey from Ukhimath, we reached Badrinath ji via Chopta after a swirling highway after Govindghat. We stayed at GMVN Badrinath. It offers simple rooms with attached bathrooms. Looks like a fairly old construction. Minimum temperature was sub-zero and there were no geysers in bathrooms. No heaters in rooms. Hot water was provided in buckets by GMVN incharge...

Another GOVP property which is below expectations of a traveller. Place doesnt even have hot water available in the Toilet. Every time you need hot water, you need to shout to the guy in the reception. Place is near to the temple.

It is a nice place to stay...I visited Badrinath Dham on October 2nd week and the temp was around zero degree, but they provided all the necessary beddings to feel you comfortable in the room...And dont worry if you dont get a front side room...Neelkanth peak is visible from the front side of the hotel itself, you will never forget...

“GMVN tours are excellent...some of the indian national were very upset at the situation we encounters on our 4 temple 10 day tour due to the weather, and since no refunded allowed...were able to secure a 10% credit on their next Char Dham tour in since the whole of the tour could not be accomplished.”
