Just had a short getaway break at The Elms
Unfortunately the hotel is let down by a number of things but notable the food in the Brooks Restaurant (evening / and breakfast), while the website promotes a fine dining experience unfortunately it isn’t.

Dear Sarah M,
Thank you for your review of your afternoon tea at the Elms. It is nice to read that the Weather was nice enough for you to have the Tea in the gardens and that the team looked after you so well.

Absolutely! Our 3 children - 12, 10 and 5yrs - loved it. We didn't get the feeling at all that the management wanted to move away from welcoming children. Ours still talk about the place, especially the outdoor/indoor hot tub and breakfast. I can't recommend the place enough for both families and couples/singles/groups without children. I always feel it's down to parents to maintain behaviour, and while we weren't the only ones with kids, in fact there were quite a few when we were there, manners seemed good all round and those seeking peace and quiet sm certainly got it in other areas in the hotel. The balance was perfect.
