We are an independent family-owned and run business from humble beginnings and we're now celebrating our thirteenth year of trading, having grown and expanded from a B&B to now a 27 en-suite room Hotel! Our new Admirals Restaurant is on site, catering for Breakfasts, Afternoon Teas, Light Lunches and Evening Meals to both hotel guests and to the public. We have a thriving Sunday Roast reputation and of course we host Weddings, Business Meetings and Conferences for up to 250 people, and local Events for clients on a bespoke basis. We value our guests and our reputation, and any feedback is welcome as a source of learning for us.

Celebrated New Years with our friends. Had a great time, staff were excellent. Well organised and very friendly, couldn’t do enough to help. Food was great, plenty of choice, served hot and more than enough to go round. Stayed the night, room was very nice and clean, slept really well and enjoyed a full English breakfast in the morning. I would fully recommend and look forward to going back at some point during the year. Thanks to all the hard working staff who looked after us all.

Absolutely fabulous night food was exceptional the night fantastic this is our 2nd time for New Year's Eve we stayed overnight in lovely comfortable disabled room had breakfast in morning just perfect end to a difficult year.

Booked the New Years Eve party and room for the night. Staff were welcoming and happy to help. Checked into room and had a problem with wet carpet (maybe leaky fridge) reported to reception and when we got back it was much improved. Party room was nicely set up. Not too cramped in with party items on the table. Food was hot buffet and good quality. Whilst eating there was a quiz if you wanted to take part and other games. Music was a good variety and a great atmosphere. Vicky the events organiser was great making sure everyone was having a good time. Comfortable bed and great shower along with a good breakfast. Nothing seemed to much trouble to anyone. Would recommend.

Hi Debra Thank you for such a wonderful review on your New Years Eve Experience. I did pop and look at your fridge and the temp wasn't set correctly leading to the leak. A few towels (not from your room!) sorted the job and happy that was all sorted by the time you got back to your room. Thank you also for your lovely comments about the evening. New Years eve is always a hard time to make sure you are pleasing all our guests so to hear we did an outstanding job means the world! Obviously biased to the cheeky mention - :) Thank you! New year's Eve Family party didn't really cater for children as advertised.We were told to arrive at 7pm for family buffet served at 7.30, we were assured the event was going to be a family event with lots of children's and adults party games and fun for all the family. In reality Dave sent children away when they tried to join in the fun at what was supposed to be their event and told them to get parents. No children's disco no children's buffet, but food poor anyway My wife asked why there was no children's food and was rudely told by the member of staff serving that ' her kids would eat it'. Food was left overs turned into turkey pie alongside a sloppy looking pork and onion stew, over cooked vegetables and mince beef chilly with rice, none of which really geared to a family…

I was extremely happy with my room it was clean and fresh .. the breakfast was absolutely delicious. My only gripe is as it was a family party why was there only 2 staff members working the bar and one off those kept disappearing and only seemed to want to serve certain customers so that was a little disappointing.
