Thank you cheff for a delicious lunch. I asked for an open ham salad sandwich which was not on the menu. Absolutely delicious. Fresh salad with roast ham and homemade coleslaw. excellent service. Value for money. The restaurant is modernised and shining. This is the destination for lunch in claregalway.
The trip started well enough, very helpful at reception, despite the lobby looking a bit rustic.. Got upstairs, beautiful modern room, loads of space.. unfortunately our stay was all downhill from here.. went for dinner, I was shown to our table, no drinks order taken, waiting about 20 mins before anyone came near us for a drinks order.. again a surprisingly long wait again for our food to arrive, food came, my girlfriends startrer, and mains were both lukewarm at best.. we were sat right behind the pass, noticed that a lot of food there was sitting there a very very long time! We decided to skip dessert for obvious reasons, so went to get a drink at the bar, wasnt overly busy but again service as slow, a lot of talking amongst themselves before serving.. atmosphere in the bar was good as there was a terrific singer on show ( Seamus Flannery I think his name was ) but, there was a surprising amount of loud kids running around the various late at night.. almost forgot to mention a foul smell in the hallway through the hotel before reaching the bar. Thankfully we were only staying one night.…
We stayed here for one night and the hotel was absolutely fantastic. Car parking is free and there is a wealth of spots. Our room was upgraded (a lovely touch!) was absolutely superb. The junior suite was spacious, clean and modern. Staff were welcoming and only a short drive to Galway city!
Arrived on Friday the 30th for New Year’s Eve not to party or to drink the new year in just to get away as we’ve never been away for new year before. On arrival the hotel looked clean and staff where very friendly. We did not get breakfast with the room deal at €407 but that was no problem so paid extra €42 for breakfast for two nights. Now before I get into the bad stuff let me say that the dinner we had in the first night was amazing the nicest steak I’ve had probably ever well worth a try. So the bad stuff the room was not the best over in the far corner of the hotel note not very buggy friendly 3 million doors to get to the room and all of them closed and only one lift so bringing baby to pool we had to go through the bar after the receptionist realized we could not take the two flights of stairs to get there. The room was dusty the bathroom has a shower curtain that is dirtier then the river Shannon the toilet roll holder hanging off little things but big enough things I think. We could not heat or cool the room as it seem to be controlled by hotel. Now the €42 euro breakfast that I’ve read great reviews of online is a load of pony. €10 extra to get it to the room and for the pleasure of €10 it comes cold the hottest thing on the plate was the butter all of the food was cold and asked for scramble eggs and we got 5 poached eggs 🤔. Asked for a fruit yogurt and was forgotten when breakfast was first delivered and was sent back up but the best part was it was out of date 🫣🫣 I did contact reception and was refunded for both my breakfasts and thinking it was just cause it was room Service we decided to have it downstairs in the restaurant and that is just as bad there where people arriving at 10am to no food very bad overall. The pool has no life guard with loads of kids in the pool two lovely young lads very nice and helpful at the desk but it needs a life guard. New Year’s Eve sat down for dinner starters where nearly gone before drinks arrived and starter plates still on table when mains arrived I do get its New Years eve at 8:20pm mind you but was to rushed and not as good experience as the night before. Please do something about the 3 million doors that you’ve to go through ti get to the bar and your room leave them open for buggies and wheelchairs…
I was visiting Claregalway for business reasons. I was at a location approximately 2 miles from the hotel. Not being from Ireland, I didn’t realise how difficult it would be to find a taxi. I attempted to contact a few companies that I googled, but no luck. I phoned the hotel to ask if they could recommend a taxi or give advice. The receptionist asked if I had a smartphone and suggested that I use it. I was shocked. A local person was driving past and gave me a lift. In the morning, I asked the receptionist (different person from the previous evening) for a number for a taxi, she was very helpful and gave me a business card with the hotel logo and it had 5 numbers on it The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast was charged separately. I found it average.
We stayed here for 2 nights had a family room and double room. Both were lovely. the girl on reception was very friendly and helpfull when we arrived and gave us all the the info we needed for the next day. The rooms were lovely and warm and breakfast was great. Staff were great and so friendly. Great choice of food for adults and children. We went to the the bar at night and again the music was great. Had a lovely stay here not too far from Galway city. Hopefully visit again
Outstanding family stay on a weekend break in the beautiful Galway. Our family room was roomy and quiet and had everything we needed as a family. The staff were super friendly and always willing to help. The leisure centre was lovely and never busy when we visited. We are in Bio and Co on one night and really enjoyed it and found it to be very good value for money. Location was ideal for us, it was close enough to Galway city but also very quiet. There were shops nearby which was handy. The bus to Galway city centre stops right across the road and the reception staff were great to advise on this. Over all we had a great stay in the ClareGalway hotel and we will definitely be back soon.
From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff couldn't do enough for us, they were all so very friendly & welcoming, especially Danielle at the front desk she helped us with a voucher issue, she was great & so friendly, the customer care here is absolutely outstanding, we really enjoyed our meals here on both nights of our stay, the hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas, you can tell its a family run hotel because of how friendly everyone is, really superb. Again we must thank Danielle for her outstanding customer care, will hope to stay agaín as its a really relaxing hotel, room was super quiet, bed was so comfy. What more can I say, we went home with huge smiles on our faces & great memories of our stay in the hotel all thanks to the wonderful staff.
Claregalway hotel was from start to finish amazing from the minute we arrived the service and staff were amazing, we were upgraded when we arrived to the most amazing room ever, the entire room had so much class, the food was amazing great breakfast, One member of staff that stood out to us was Rhiannon behind the bar she was so friendly and made our night so good , The hotel was decorated so nice a real Christmas feel to it, we will definitely be back because one night is definitely not enough , the leisure Center was beautiful too …⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My family stayed here in October. Online check in is very convenient. Very spacious and clean family room - good breakfast! Gluten free well catered for. Short drive into Galway. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
