Had to have one night stay in Galway and chose this very pretty cottage. Stayed with my sister and had a lovely time there. Good spacious room with a double and a single bed with en suite. Caroline and her husband were friendly and welcoming, they even gave me a gift of a pot of Irish honey which is the best I have ever tasted. Would highly recommend this b and b. 🥰🥰🥰

I stayed for 2 nights with Caroline, beautiful home, lovely hosts and super breakfast, quiet location, Caroline made me so welcome, lots of towels, storage space, all the usuals in the spacious room, a quaint property, I loved my stay and am looking forward to my next stay

We have so far stayed here four times to visit family. What a delightful place. the rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable, nicely decorated. Caroline is a superhost, always very welcoming. The breakfast goes far above the regular level of a B&B or even hotels. Lots of choice, full Irisch breakfast or pancakes, whatever you wish! Our number 1 in the Galway-region!!

My family of 5 (three late teens) stayed four nights including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day during our 10-day vacation visiting relatives and touring the countryside. We loved it here! Classic old Irish cottage with modern addition from just a few years ago. We rented two big rooms (one had three beds) - each with a full bath. Very clean, private, and well stocked. Breakfast was simply amazing. Caroline and her mom are outstanding cooks and hosts. We stayed at 4 different spots on our holiday - 2 hotels / 2 BnBs - and the Thatched Cottage was the best by far. We will be back!

I stayed here for two nights with my partner and we both really enjoyed it. The rooms are cosy and have everything you will need. They catered well for us as vegetarian's with a nice fry up and lovely pancakes and fruit. The location is perfect and is only a short drive to the eyre square center. There is a local bar and take away open late. We will definitely be back again. Thanks for the lovely weekend we had.

Lovely warm welcome from Caroline Great big family room with large bathroom and big shower Breakfast was gorgeous no problem doing vegetarian loads to eat cereal full Irish freshly cut fruit. he mother of Caroline and Harry the dog were the only redeeming grace Never spoke to Caroline even when she was actually there she didn't speak I cannot understand the reviews that wax lyrical about the place what kind of places do they stay ? We were greeted by a man still don't know who he was who said we are early we are eating our tea ( yes hadn't realised after a 5 hour trip we had arrived 15 minutes early we apologised and said we would wait until they had finished their meal Took us upstairs pointed out the rules of the house and left We didn't see Caroline until the 2nd day when there was a domestic going on ( grief could have stayed at home to have that lol ) no one spoke not even a good morning !!!!! She had spoken to us on the phone saying if we cancelled booking,com she would do the booking cheaper for us She was missing again the next day so couldn't discuss that with her ( the mother reduced the bill by 5 euros ) so apart from her mother and Harry the dog they were rude and should not be running a business dealing with the public time for a career change !!!!!!!…

Patricia well I guess all I can say is maybe you should look inwards for the answer to your question as to what kind of place all my 5 star reviewers stayed in and what kind of person they meet, maybe the answer is in the mirror. I meet your husband on a couple of occasions and had a great chat with him but of course that's not mentioned at all. You stayed in your room all the time so it was particularly difficult to meet you. as for the price well I might as well work for nothing if I gave you the room any cheaper than 65 euro/ night on a double ensuite with full breakfast in August, you basically wanted 7 star service for pennies, sorry to tell you I'm afraid it does not exist. Stayed here with my husband for 1 night during Galway races. This B&B is like a home away from home. We were warmly greeted by Caroline with a welcome cup of tea and some biscuits. A lovely touch. As Caroline was heading to races herself she offered us a lift there which we greatly accepted. We had a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning served to us by Carolines mother who is a lovely friendly lady. These people really know how to look after their guests. Highly recommend.
