This lovely old pub with a fascinating history fell on hard times but now is owned and run by a young couple with drive and desire to improve everything. They are welcoming , professional, cater for large and small and are building their business sensibly. A free house, the ales and lager are kept scrupulously well and the food is...

Literally the best burger I have had in years. If you've not tried the burgers, do so. Worth the visit just for them, but the pub is lovely, the staff are friendly and the cost is more than reasonable.

With this being local to me and since the change of hands, myself and my family have had some very good meals in your restaurant and takeaways. Very good and reasonably sized portions and generally speaking I have had no complaints what so ever. Being somebody who drinks ale I have been impressed with the range of locally sourced guest...

Excellent stay with excellent food, extremely good value. We recently stayed for four nights, had a lovely warm welcome on arrival. Showed to a spacious and immaculately clean room, which was home from home for our stay. The bar had well kept ales,a perfect pint every time. A lovely warm atmosphere with friendly locals, sharing conversation with a real fire...

Stayed here on a Friday night. My room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean and I enjoyed an excellent meal in the relaxed atmosphere of the bar/restaurant in the evening. On this occasion, I was travelling through Wiltshire but if I am staying in the area for longer on a future visit, I will be perfectly happy to stay...

Stayed one night en route from Gatwick to Devon but would have been happy to stay longer. Nice room, lovely family run pub, great beer, food and service. Our two young boys loved the outdoor play area.

We stayed at the Penruddocke Arms for 12 nights in total & couldn't fault it in any way. Our room was clean & spacious with an excellent en-suite bathroom. This dog friendly family run business offers excellent value for money. The added advantage for us was that we didn't have to go too far for an evening meal if we...

We stayed here on a Monday night. Plenty of parking space We had a small dog and a puppy, they didn't feel out of place and we all slept through the night, nice bed nice shower and nice towels. The only downside is that the wifi only worked for us until 10pm. Nice people taking care of the business. Would...

We recently stayed at The Penruddocke Arms Hotel, as we were attending a friend’s wedding at the nearby Ashley Wood Farm. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so very welcome by Carley and her family. It is a lovely family run business, that go above and beyond to ensure their guests are happy. We arranged to...
