We stayed two nights and could and should have stayed three or four. Overlooking the little town of Kaiteriteri, the Kimi Ora Eco Resort is a wonderful place to stay. Vegetarian breakfast included in very nice dining area. Room was well appointed and large. Resort features indo

After a challenging drive, rivaling the Amalfi Coast, we arrived late. We heard the bad news that the restaurant was closed and were thinking about our options when a very nice lady approached us and told us she knew of our predicament and would like to fix us some sandwiches.

This has now been my third stay at Kimi Ora and I feel very lucky living so close to it, here in Nelson. The setting is stunning, with the MTB Park at the door step and the golden beaches a short walk away. The staff are extremely friendly and always there when you need them and

We will not have a car, could you advise us how to reach the accommodation from Nelson. Thank you
There are bus/shuttle services that go from Nelson to Kaiteriteri. I didn't use it as we had a car when staying there, but they are daily and most likely more than 1 a day from various companies. Once you've booked your accommodation, I would suggest you contact the resort directly and ask them to either advise you which company to use, best way to get to them or they may even be able to organise a transfer for you from Nelson. They were very helpful and lovely to deal with when we stayed there. Its a short walk from the main beach up to the resort although not the easiest with luggage. A beautiful part of the country and you can get water taxis from the main beach up into the National Park for day trips if required. So you can see a lot without needing to have a car (as long as you are able to walk short distances). I can recommend sea kayaking in the area and an overnight stay at the Awaroa Lodge near the top of the park if you want to spend a bit of time walking some of the tracks. There are plenty of day trip options too where you can visit some lovely beaches, and seal colonies and do some walks.

Hi. Kimi Ora Resort is about an hour from Nelson I am unsure of the buses that go to Kaiteriteri as we have never had to use them. The other alternative is to hire a car for a couple of day's. That will give you the freedom to look around a bit & you will want to as it's a beautiful part of the country.
