Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is a old nice villa. The rooms are space and very cozy. It has a beautiful garden and a nice small pool. Very good breakfast, and most importantly: Really nice owners who go out of their way to make the stay as convenient as possible. We enjoyed it!

We had a very nice stay of 5 nights in this tastefully renovated B&B, run by a friendly couple. With a swimming pool and a quiet garden this is a good place to relax and at the same time it is very close to Trieste (no tram, but bus) and well connected to Slovenia by train (train station is less than 15 minutes away). Opicina has plenty of good and reasonably priced cafes and restaurants and is a perfect base to explore the region.

We were booked into here by friends living in Trieste and it was perfect for our stay. Fulvia was an excellent host and provided a very tasty breakfast. The room was large and comfortable and the house is set in beautiful grounds in a quieter part of Trieste. It has great history and it was a real pleasure to stay here. Sadly not enough time and maybe not quite warm enough to use the pool but it certainly looked inviting. Mary and Richard 21-24 September 2018

All in all: Lovely host, comfortable room, nice and clean bathroom, great breakfast. We got many informations about the restaurants or what we should to do in Trieste. If you have got kid do not missed to visit to the Aquario Marino (sharks, snakes...) :)

We stayed here for 2 nights, booked directly with the owners. Very friendly and helpful! Our rooms were perfect, with quality bathrooms. Biggest plus is the quiet garden, with the pool as a refreshing option on hot days. As the tram to Trieste is out of order, you can take a bus or own car (parking available all along the seafront). TRIPS: 1. From the villa, we did a great walk: via the Napoleon path to Prosecco and then nature trail 9 down to Miramare castle (must see!). We also walked all the way back (sea promenade back to Trieste and then a heavy climb to the Villa), but you can also take bus or taxi back. 2. Get an audioguide at the FVG Tourist Info point on the Piazza del Unita (5€), and you can discover Trieste at your own pace.

I'm hiking the AAT and so unfortunately only stayed one night at Villa Albori. What a beautifully renovated villa it is. And I loved the breakfast room overlooking the garden. I did some writing there in the afternoon sunshine and it was glorious. The owner does everything to make you feel welcome and at home. She had good information for me too how to continue walking the next morning. The tram had an accident and is currently not working. And I had amazing cakes and dinner in the restaurant across the road. Breakfast was lovely and plenty. Thank you, highly recommended.

Me, my wife and our baby girl (one year old) stayed for 7 days during September 2017. Our room, overlooking the street, was nice, spacious and comfortable. They have a nice garden. It is a family owned business. This family is very nice, hospitable and generous. It is not our first time there and we come back almost every year when we visit family in the city.

We stayed here in April , the room was a good size clean with an ensuite. The garden was nice for the children however the pool was closed. Down side there was no specific parking space and the breakfast was very disappointing.
