A quiet peaceful hotel in unique surrounding excellent place to stay. Rooms, food and service of the staff was as good as previous visits. Good place to stop over after arriving from Madrid to visit other paradores.

We stayed here for 2 nights en route to the coast. We like Paradors but they can be a bit hit or miss. This one is great although not typical as it is so small ( only 14 rooms ). We had a superior room in the main castle keep and it was lovely, with a 4 poster bed and...

The limited number of rooms allow every guest to be treated special. The food was amazing. Every room I saw was unique. The village was quaint. As you first glimpse the castle it is a postcard view. Ve stayed in hundreds of hotels in my life and this is my favorite.

The drive to the small town of Alarcon makes you feel like time has stood still in this small town surrounded by stone walls. The Parador de Alarcon is smaller than expected but it is still breathtaking. We occupied twos room for the four of us. Beds are so comfortable and the rooms are very updated. Bathrooms are like mini...

This is a jem of a parador, a real fortress, set on a rocky outcrop in a loop of the river, set in a deep gorge. The approach is suitably dramatic, with parador dominating the landscape. Stop for a photo in the parking area just before you go through the first of the perimeter gate houses - the best snaps...

This is the third time for us in a Parador and, yet again, we were not disappointed. The setting in a hill-top location was breathtaking at times. The hotel itself puts you in mind of the Middle ages, eating and relaxing in huge spaces with vaulted ceilings. The room was well equipped, if a little small compared to others we...

This Parador is situated in the picturesque village of Alarcon. It is located in an ancient castle that dominates the surrounding countryside. The limited size of the castle means that the rooms are not huge but they are well equipped and very comfortable. The free Wi-Fi means that we were able to communicate with family and friends using the Internet....

It's a really old castle, it's the smallest Parador and its is great. We were able to wander the battlements but not the tower, you want to go to the top of the tower, you need a room in the tower. We heard that the rooms were a bit small, our standard twin was fine, bigger that a premier inn...

We enjoyed our stay in the Parador de Alarcon immensely. The parador is situated in the beautiful castle which dominates this small ancient fortified town. We stayed there on the Gastro Package Amigos. Our room was very comfortable with great views and we enjoyed our dinner there that evening.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An exceptional witness to the Reconquest, this 8th. castle, perfectly preserved, retains the aura of Arabic influence, with inimitable bedrooms which recreate the most romantic legends. It rises up on a promontory which presides over a fertile bend of the river Júcar. Military motifs from that period dominate the living rooms, impregnated with stone and Castilian wood. ... more   less
