Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Can´t say anything good about Mändjala, because they forgot to leave us the cabin key. We had paid the prepayment (30% of the entire cost) and talked with the receptionist few hours before arrival, that we will come at midnight, after the last ferry arrives to Muhu. When we arrived, there was no key for us and no one answered the phone, so we needed to find a new place to stay. It was friday past midnight so you could only imagine how hard it was to find a new place for 4 adults. The whole trip cost us 3 times more, than the original. We had planned to stay 2 nights - 140 euros, but the whole thing cost us 430!! because we needed to stay at the hotels. Never coming back and I make sure no one of my friends will visit you in the future.

We arrived first of all to this place just to have a look and we fell in love with the places for tents. Ended staying there for 3 nights. It was so perfect - each tent is far away from each other, toilets were cleaned 1-2 times a day and were really clean. The water was so warm and the beach is excwllent. I understand that the cabins are not very good, but if you are going for camping - this is the place were you can camp in the beach, looking to the sea and enjoying beach playground for kids. Also place has good free wi-fi next to the bar. You can hang in the hammock and do some browsing. And the place is really cheap - only 7€ for the tent per night, plus 3€ for parking for the whole stay if you want to park next to the tent. Shower is 1€ 5 minutes.

Booked 3 nights. Hardly survived one. First cabin changed right away. Second one was a bit better. Old cabins have awful smell, bad beds. Bed linen was cleaned but not clean. At receptions the woman spoke neither English, Finnish nor Russian. They used some substance to clean toilets, after one night in the campsite all our clothes smelled terrible. In the cabin for 5 people there were 3 stools one table and five beds, nothing else, There was no even hook to hang a jacket.

Stayed at Mändjala for two nights. The location itself is quite good and it has a beach just seconds away which is pretty clean. The biggest letdown was the camping houses as the one we stayed in had filthy curtains which looked like dried blood and the windows had washed like never. The door nod was falling off and the door in general was filthy. A mirror would have been nice to have in the house as well. The restaurant that is part of the camping area is pretty poor too. They had no chilled cider and when we asked for seconds they had ran out of almost every cider (mid July, high season). The dinner menu is very limited and has only few options. Not sure if this is normal for camping areas in Estonia as I’ve never stayed at any other. The brekkie was pretty good, small but you had your typical brekkie stuff, cereal, boiled eggs, toast, fruit, yoghurt, sausage, coffee, tea. Enough if you don’t require huge varieties of food which I would guess majority of us don’t. I would stay again due to location but would hope that they will pump up the cleanliness.

We were there with big company and from this viewpoint - all good, there are lot of places for all. But, it I traveled with my family - I will look for another place. Houses - clean, but old, WC not very clean, shower - for fee... Breakfast - enough, but poor choice. Beach good, no stones and good for children - very shallow coast. For one night ok.
