Do not make this hotel your starting point to visit the region. Place is very basic, rooms are small, noisy, the surroundings are not friendly. But for one night, before taking the plane, it can work.
Room was stone cold and felt damp on arrival and heating took 15 minutes to start to work. Shower gel dispenser was empty but could not be replaced as staff said they had run out. On second night, only one large towel was provided for 2 adults and maid said there weren't enough clean towels on site to provide a second. The second towel was only provided after an argument at reception. This hotel seems to have confused the concept of "budget" with bad management. It is not run to usual Ibis Budget standards.
We arrived very late and had a very unfriendly welcome, just when we could have done with a friendly one! Otherwise the hotel was just like a formula 1 except you get towels, a toilet and a better breakfast. For twice the price. We cancelled our booking for the return journey and booked a formula 1 instead. There we got exactly what we expected with the friendly and helpful staff we are used to.
The hotel is clean and comfortable. Receptionist kind and helpful when we stayed. Breakfast is good and reasonably priced. The car park was very full but there is an overflow car park at the far end of the hotel. I was slightly concerned about the security of our car in the overflow car park and just managed to squeeze into the car park closer to the hotel. There is a very large supermarket across the road with fuel and a McDonalds!
We stayed here as a family of 4 (two adults & two children (12 & 9)). It is a clean basic hotel and we had 2 rooms (only 3 to a room). The kids tried to use the pool but it was cold and full of bugs! There was plenty of parking. Overall not a bad hotel as a one night stopover for getting to or from the south.
This is an excellent hotel. We were made very welcome. We were hot on arrival so having a swim in the hotel swimming pool was brilliant. The room was fine, and air conditioned. The staff were very helpful in guiding us to an excellent restaurant.
Pleasant enough staff but the rooms were seriously small and in real need of repair. Only stayed here because we could get nowhere else more central because of the EURO'S. In the middle of an industrial estate but at least there was a supermarket and a McDonalds about 200 metres away. Also a bus stop about 500 metres away with a direct route to the city center. If you need somewhere to stay on the way through France then ok but only if your first and second choices are full. mpo
Slightly difficult to find without satnav I think. Quiet location but quite near the airport. Clean budget room with a good shower. Good value breakfast with fresh croissant. Convenient for SuperU cheap petrol opposite. There is a McDonalds a block away to eat in.
It's very basic and situated in an industrial area, but we choose it because it was a. within a 2 hour drive from our stay in the Alps b. within 5 minutes from the high way and c. cheap. All markers were met and we actually thought it good value for money, since the room was clean and the bed was fine. Don't expect much from the breakfast thought. For 6 euro's we didn't and unfortunately - unlike the hotel itself - we were a bit disappointed with the quality of the food offered. There is however a bakery closeby, which we will remember for next year...
I stayed for just over a week recently. The rooms are practical and exactly what you might expect. Clean and comfortable beds but no sitting space. Breakfast was excellent, a very good range on offer with excellent fresh coffee. A good way to start the day. It is a bit out of Lyon so travelling takes time possibly around 35 minutes. Then the problem of parking in Lyon. It's very expensive. Kind and helpful staff. Thanks for all your help.
