AS is a chain based on the Motorways in Spain. Altube sets a standard that many Hotels, let alone Motels, in the UK should hope to emulate. There is ample parking which is more than can be said of many establishments, an adequate Bar and a rather good Restaurant. The Bedrooms are basic but large and clean with full-width windows...

This hotel is basically a service station on the motorway and does attract a lot of lorries and coaches. At least 3 coaches pulled in as we were checking in! Due to its access off the motorway, this hotel is only really suitable if travelling north. The accommodation is pretty basic. Best feature was the bathroom, which had a nice...

Altube is really only for those heading North to the Coast and to the Ports. There is an Altube Sud with similar facilities but no Hotel. Altube Nord is quite well signposted off the Auto Pista heading to Bilbao and has ample parking. Up some steps (or a long inclne ramp) is the recently re-furbished Hotel. Inside, the accomodation is...

It's a cheap place to rest while you are travelling from Alava to Bilbao. It's cheaper than hotels in Alava and it is in a tranquile zone, in spite of the highroad. The bedroom is quite clean and you can rest confortable.

We have used this hotel a few times because its convenient for catching the ferry from either santander or bilbao without having to do the trip in one go from tarragona. Nice hotel, clean and rooms are spacious--good value for money.Dont recomend buying beer from the bar there--very expensive for what you get( sort of a bit more than a...

We booked this with booking.com and found their appraisal to be accurate. The welcome was a little abrupt probably due to my lack of Spanish and the receptionist's lack of English. The room was large and clean. The restaurant prices were excellent and the service friendly. We both had steaks of different types and both were delicious. The wine -...

Hotel, Bar and Restaurant much improved. There is indeed, it would seem, only an Altube Nord Hotel though the Southbound establishment run by the same chain does have a Restaurant and Bar with the same name and similar design to the Northbound. Altube Nord: Bed room was clean and quiet with modern ensuite. There is no lift and the Bedrooms...

We used this hotel as on AP68 near to Bilbao ferry. Proved to be excellent value at 50euro's for a very clean room with good bathroom shower etc Able to buy snacks or have full meal and wine was only 6 euro's bottle - no rip off pricing Breakfast is simple but adequate and ferry is less than 30 mins...

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 10 years, as it is a convenient stopover when we catch the ferry to or from Bilbao or Santander. Generally, we have found it is reasonable value, it is clean and fairly comfortable. last year the hotel was refurbished, and the bathrooms modernised. My husband was taking a shower,...

We literally went 40 minutes out of our way taking the long way round, driving from southern Spain to England, to stay at this Northbound hotel based upon our Southbound experience at the same services in the past. We also attempted  to stay at the same Altube motorway services Southbound hotel two weeks later.    Northbound we encountered an oasis in...
