We stayed here two nights on a cycling tour. Palma del Rio is a small town in a farming region, and not much to do in the town. But the Monasterio is a good place to stay in converted monastery. We had a very large room (9) - an old monks cell - with a bathroom that was larger than...

We stayed at this hotel on our bike tour and we were given one of the worst rooms in the hotel (we saw photos of other people's rooms which looked much nicer). The bed sagged in the middle, pillows were frayed with no pillowcases and the showers curtain was a wisp of plastic. Yuck! To give this hotel 3 stars...

This hotel is a restored/converted 15th monistary. The rooms are the converted monks cells. Very roomy. Furnishings are simple which just adds to the ambiance. Authentic antiques line the halls. Bells ring every 15min during the day but go quiet at night. A unique place to stay.

Monasteries de San Francisco was the most perfect place to stay after the madness of Christmas and the New Year. Absolute tranquility in a fascinating and exquisitely beautiful hotel. Sadly, I was only there for four days on business but I fully intend coming back as soon as I can. A good place to recharge your batteries. Very sorry to...

We stayed as part of a larger group of VBT bike touring.. Large rooms, monastery grounds nice, limited seating around pool, this town doesn't have much to see and was a biking location for the tour..beds nice, breakfast good, dark bar area with not much life to it, but again, you can't compare to chain hotels, a nice experience

This is a historical monastery and as such it has rather simple looking rooms. I was worried that the beds would not be comfortable but I was wrong. Our room was clean and spacious. The whole place was fun to explore. We had a lovely dinner there that was very good. I really enjoyed staying here.

We stayed here at the beginning of our cycling trip through Andalusia. This huge old monastery has thick walls and echoing cloisters. All of our rooms were located on an upper hallway. We had trepidations when we saw our narrow doorway, partially enclosed in a niche at the end of the hall. Once inside, though, we were pleased. A small...

We stayed one night at this hotel on our way from and to Seville and Cordoba. The building itself is nice but it could do with a bit better maintainance; especially the gardens and pool area. It's tranquil and I slept really well. However the bedroom was a bit run down and smelly. Marvellous bathroom though; although I wouldn't recommend...

We stayed at Monasterio de San Francisco for 2 nights in July. It is ideally located between Seville & Cordoba and is an easy drive or train ride between these 2 cities.
