Extremely dedicated staff. The manager personally drove us to the bus at the end of our stay, then before we left, brought us an umbrella we didn’t even know we’d forgotten. Be aware that the hot water in the shower doesn’t last a long time, and the WiFi is spotty like in most Myanmar hotels. But it’s good enough for most needs, and improving because the place is new. Go for the great, personal service

**HOTEL AND BOAT TOUR** PROS: - Very new and clean hotel at a good price. Lovely staff who are very helpful and speak good English. - Well situated and there are also free bikes which you can borrow. These bikes are fully adjustable so even if you have short legs, you can pedal away safely. - Free breakfast includes tea/coffee/juice, bananas and watermelon, a choice of egg (scrambled or fried) on toast, and also pancake. Made fresh to order. - Room service is relatively cheap. 700ks for a coke, 2000ks for fried noodles/rice. - Hotel staff can book bus tickets for you. JJ express picks up direct from this hotel - Our bus wasn't until the evening so the hotel even allowed us to keep our room all day for free until the bus pick up time!! - BOAT TOUR - We were able to book the tour late at night when we arrived for the next day. The boat tour cost 25000 per boat and included transfer to and from the boat jetty. We were picked up around 8.30am and got back around 4pm. The hotel recommend the main places to go on the boat tour but they were very accommodating with my request to miss certain spots out and visit other places instead for the same price. -The boat driver knew all the places and drove very smoothly so we didn't get wet. He was also very attentive to when I wanted to take more photos (Eg. Watching the traditional fishermen do their thing) as he then slowed the boat down and came to a halt at certain points. - How long we spent at each place was also fully negotiable with the driver. We weren't too interested in staying long at the silversmith and cotton weaving places so he quickly took us on to see the other villages etc. - Do bring a jacket for the morning as it gets chilly as the boat is zipping along. Layer on you might want sunscreen/hat/sunglasses as there is no cover on the boat! CONS: - Bikes do not have lights so at night, some of the roads are harder to cycle down as you can't see the dips in the road. The hotel is not very close to restaurants so you will probably want to cycle to get to dinner!

We are a family of 4 and we loved this new hotel so much that we extended our stay. The family room as a lot of space, comfortable beds and two bathrooms, which was a first for us in Asia! The staff is super friendly and there is always one person speaking good english in the lobby. There is a fridge in the room, free hot and cold water and free bicycles to ride to the main street which is 2 minutes away. The breakfast is included and cooked when you are ready. We also tried the comfort food from the restaurant. Our best stay so far in Myanmar and you should go too before it’s not a secret anymore and price goes up! Josee Delisle Canada
