Mothers Home Hotel is comfortable and friendly. The welcoming atmosphere is experienced when you walk through the doors. The staff is wonderful. Friendly, efficient and helpful. The property is located on a small street a short walk to downtown. My room was very clean, bright and serviced daily. The entire property is fresh and clean. The bathroom spacious, fridge, flatscreen, WiFi, in room. The breakfast is served on the roof top balcony and is a wonderful buffet of fruits, salads, rice, noodles, soup, toast, eggs cooked to order and pancakes. Dinner, beer, wine and spirits are also available. Area tours, bicycle, motorbike rentals, transport to and from the airport can be arraigned in minutes. Ms. Khin who runs everything is highly visible and genuinely cares about the guests. The front desk staff is very capable. There are also several nearby restaurants. The MHH is run well. It’s just one of those places I would stay at again and highly recommend it.…
We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is located off the main road and away from the boat noise but still close to everything you may need. The highly rated Indian restaurant is just round the corner which is a bonus. We stayed in room 302 on top floor. The bathroom was basic but it all worked and there was plenty of hot water. They could supply more toilet roll though, ours was gone very quickly and we had to use our emergency stash. When we arrived, there was also nothing in the mini bar which is a wasted opportunity as we would have bought some drinks if they were available. The next day we had 2 cokes in there. The bed was huge and comfy. There was also a small balcony with mountain view which was a bonus. Breakfast was served on an open terrace. The breakfast was largely Asian, there was an egg station though and some toast with jam. The spread wasn't huge and they didn't replenish things if they were gone. I guess they didn't want to waste things but still they could make a bit more of everything, especially the popular items like avo salad. The staff at reception was super helpful. We got our laundry done in the hotel since it was only £1 per kg and we got it back the same evening. Great service! They also printed the bus tickets for us. Overall, good choice of a hotel with some room for improvement. …
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay - by far the most value for money hotel that I stayed in Myanmar! The hotel is really nice, clean and very centrally located. The breakfast on the rooftop is also amazing and it includes a nice mix of western and Asian-style breakfast dishes. I wouldn’t expect that for this price I would have somebody preparing omelettes, scrambled eggs and pancakes for me. Most restaurants are nearby and it is also very close to the pier that you get the boats for the lake tours and the night street food market. The staff is super attentive and the lady at the front desk / owner is doing her best to make sure that you will enjoy your visit at Inle Lake. She will help you book boat trips, bicycle trips, taxis, everything. For this price I really believe that it’s almost impossible to find something better in the area.…
We enjoyed our time there. Big and clean rooms, staff very friendly, good full breakfast which is served in the roof terrace... It is located 15min walking from the main street and very close to the night market. They have services for booking tours or to have a massage, ask them for anything and they will help you. I wish I saw them again in the future.
I spent two days in this hotel. Rooms were clean, and it was relatively close to the center. But the best part of it is the staff, which is attentive, caring, and anticipate to your every need. I only wish I'd stayed longer.
