I really loved this hotel and the town of Orthez. Only stayed over night as on the way home from Portugal to catch the Roscoff ferry on Sunday. All the staff very friendly and accommodating. Arrived at 9pm but was able to have a meal in the restaurant, really good. Breakfast the next morning good too.

One night stop over. Room was small but adequate. Bed was comfy. Nothing to rave about really but nothing much to complain about either. Staff friendly. No parking so had to park a couple of streets away but it was after 6 so was free. Leave your luggage and then go and park the car. Pretty good for the money

This hotel is in the cente of Orthez, which makes parking a little tricky. It has a lovely courtyard and atmosphere. I stayed in a 70€ room which was modern, clean and very big. Others in my group had the cheaper rooms and there is a significant difference in the standard. The breakfast was good, lots on offer. There is...

I was treated to a birthday dinner in the dining room at La Reine Jeanne. Our party of four was served efficiently and attentively by our very pleasant waitress. I very much enjoyed my meal of duck confit. The dining area itself was quiet and attractive. As we only visited the dining room, I cannot comment on the other hotel...

La Reine Jeanne was a good lunch spot in Orthez. We both had the menu de jour which was very good value and tasty. The dining room is pleasant especially for a hotel restaurant. The service was attentive. The patrons appeared to be mostly local.

Stayed at the Reine Jeanne on the recommendation of a barman in Orthez and was very happy with the result. A small 'boutique' style hotel, the decor and rooms very nice and individual. We had an old original stone sink left in the wall of our room, just for effect. Everywhere was very clean and the staff helpfull. Part of...

Poor quality mains, dry fish, fatty/overcooked veal escalope. At 26 Euros for set menu, it was amateurish. To gap it all, it came with the too typical French indifference, and no apology.

Restaurant food and service excellent. Hotel reception was not very friendly and we were charged a lot more than the price quoted for a standard double. Even though it was agreed we had been quoted the lower price, we were informed we had been staying in a "comfort" room which was more expensive. Our "comfort" room was very small, with...
