The hotel is pretty okay located but the service is unfriendly even bit arrogant. Arrived with my daughter, she was in well, natural needs. It was dark, cold and late, the place was almost empty but the personal insisted we need to pay for toilet; even for small kids? - really??? On top of that, we had been treated bad...

Beautiful hotel on the outside, a historic building. On the inside it is clean but simple. The wi-fi was problematic and the staff not terribly interested in resolving the issue, blaming it on my computer. The rooms are fine for sleeping in - very clean but not that cosy. The food is good and the breakfast fine.

This is the second year we have stayed in Alte Post on our way to Italy. Although the hotel is vintage, it is clean, the beds are fine, the bathroom small but convenient. Because we use this hotel only to stay one night, for us it is a good place to stay. The restaurant food is very good (especially the...

While staying in Wassen, we had dinner in the restaurant in this hotel, 2 nights in a row; for two reasons:- good prices and delicous food. On the first evening, my husband chose spaghetti bolognaise with a house salad and I chose a traditional Swiss rosti which had bacon and an egg on top. This was very savoury and scrumptious....

It has been my experience that off-peak travel can sometimes result in off-peak service and amenities at smaller hotels. This was not the case during a visit to Wassen to enjoy the trains over the pass before the new tunnel opens later this year. We booked a two-bed room which was a very large room with a double bed and...

Location, location and location. Clean rooms good staff and very good food. For train lovers remember to ask for "train room", fantastic view over all the curves on the way to Gottard Tunnel passing three times around the church in town.

This hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The rooms are quite Spartan with no AC or fridge. Unfortunately, we had a family with a small baby in the next room which illustrated the poor insulation/sound proofing between the rooms. The baby was well behaved, as we heard, but regrettably woke and needed feeding at 6.45am (a bit before...

We bumped in for a night with my family. We had a lovely little room, very clean, comfortable beds and linings. The food is a bit heavy, local swiss style. Very friendly personal and quite good value for money (compared to Swiss market).
