Having travelling from the beautiful historic town of Portillo this location came as quite a shock.Although the hotel is very old it is located in the middle of a new development. When we arrived there was an event being held at the hotel (christening?)and it was extremely busy.We couldn't park in the hotel parking area however street parking is plentiful... More

We stayed overnight at this hotel en-route to Portugal. It is a quirky historical place, with lots of reminders of its former use. Our room was large, with an excellent en-suite. Lovely comfy bed too! We were going to have dinner in the restaurant, but changed our minds and had tapas in the bar area. This was an excellent choice.... More

A quirky hotel, well located off the main road in a little village. Comfortable rooms with a minibar and blackout curtains, all individually decorated. Friendly staff and good service and food in the dining room. The décor reflects the former use of the building with a lot of angels on the ceilings.

Wonderful old Spanish hotel but was a little hard to find. Lovely room and bathroom. Good breakfast, the whole stay was fantastic value for money, we will definitely stay here again when traveling south from the Santander ferry. Good restaurant looks quite un impressive but serves rather good food , we enjoyed our evening meal very much. Parking at the... More

If you are looking for a great stop over just off the motorway without the trouble of going into the city of Valladolid, Spain this is the place. There is nothing much around the hotel, but the hotel its' self is fabulous, a charming place which looks like its' been a convent or some other religious building with murals on... More

This hotel in a Valladolid suburb does resemble very much to the well known paradores. Historical building, renivated into a nice hotel. Big rooms, good restaurant. Free wifi. The only minus is the location. That is not attractive at all. However, easy to reach from highways isvagain a plus. Valladolid is just a fewmiles away. What is also very attractive... More

We like Paradors in Spain, but the one closest to where we needed a stopover en route south is terrible, so an internet search turned up this small easily-found hotel just off the motorway south of Valladolid. We arrived late but were able to enjoy bocadillos and refreshments in the cafe-bar at almost midnight. Our room was nothing if not... More

Stayed at this hotel for one night on our way from our house in Southern to Spain to the Santander ferry. Was just off our route, near to Valladolid. The hotel was converted from an old Abbey and has been completely modernised. The decoration in the hotel is just fantastic and quite quirky, with medieval paintings on all of the... More

MF USA - stayed in the hotel for 8 days in May 2007 This is a wonderful small hotel, charmingly renovated from an eighteenth century abbey. Our air-conditioned, double room was very comfortable, spotless, and good-sized, even by American standards. The bathroom was modern and well equipped including bath with shower. The double room including breakfast seemed very economical compared... More
