A hidden gem in a beautiful location with stunning views of the Rohace Mountains, you are basically in the forest and within reach of all the mountain trails which is very convenient. Staff and owners are super friendly. The cuisine is excellent, somehow simple and traditional but with great quality ingredients and incredibly tasty. They are also able to accomodate people with diets (I am glutenfree and experienced no problems, quite the contrary). For lunch, it is important to order beforehand, as it does not work as usual à la carte restaurant. Would strongly recommend it to anyone, especially nature lovers. Family-friendly, lots of playground-like activities that children can do on the premises.

We have spent a week in this lovely spot this month and would definitely be returning. The accommodation is very high standard with modern spacious rooms and bathrooms. It is clean with towels, soap and shampoo provided. It is family run and you get a warm friendly service from all the members including a cute little dog JR. It was raining throughout the time we stayed at Sileo, so we did not get to fully enjoy the mountains which surround this picturesque spot, but the lovely atmosphere, the fresh home made food and lovely wine made for a perfect relaxed holiday with a book or just chatting with some friends. There was plentiful breakfast each morning with something to chose for everyone. It always included a warm option of omelette or pancakes, etc. I am familiar with this area of the High Tatras and know of hotels claiming to be 5 stars that would serve a watered down orange concentrate from Lidl as pure orange juice, so cannot praise Sileo enough for only serving real quality at every meal. Its restaurant is superb with only select menu that is prepared fresh on the premises. We recommend it even if you do not stay at Sileo. For me as someone from Slovakia, it is very refreshing to find a place where it is obvious that they understand and care for delivering high standard of customer service. This concept unfortunately seems to be totally absent in most hospitality establishments in the country. So we wish Sileo every success and recommend everyone to go and try the place out and see for yourselves.

We spent a week here with our kids and friends.
Overall, we had a lovely time with nice food and a good service. For Slovakia, unfortunately still, exceptionally good service.
This place is family run and everybody is on a first name basis.
The surroundings are pretty and well-maintained.
They are dogs friendly.
There are things this place offer as an extra, which can help in program planning like hot tub, barbecue, summer open air cinema, electric scooter, riffle shooting etc.
There is a slide and a seesaw for kids.
The breakfast choice was sufficient, fresh and tasty.
There is a chance to order lunch and dinner as well. Be ready for home style cooking, always tasty.
The rooms are fine, they pay attention to things like bringing fresh towels and another rolls of toilet paper mid holiday, so you don't have to go beg for it to the reception.
Some minus points were a few tiny details like offering welcome drinks to everybody except pregnant clients.
I suppose it is even better for the business if you don't offer alcohol but say juice or non alco coctail.
We would also have appreciated a sand pit or a trampoline for kids.
The slide was usually enough, nevertheless, could have been bigger variety.
The last, but not least, once we asked for a fried egg for breakfast (cause that day, they offered baked beans and bacon and it just isn't English breakfast without friend egg:) the lady was obviously not happy about preparing it.
Either, be open and say no extras, no time etc or be professional, smiley and make the customer happy.
All in all, we had a really wonderful time here. The possibilities of activities in Tatras and Liptov region are immense (for singles, families or couples).
The things we stated as negatives were minor, anyway wanted to share the full and true experience.
Thank you Sileo, see you soon.

Absolutely exceptional location for a family trip, romantic weekend, corporate teambuilding, tourist base or great party. Who was not here don't know what missed out. An oasis of peace and tranquility, wonderful place at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. Perfect Milan and Adinka service, great home cuisine. And on top of that many more! But you have to experience it yourself. I feel like at home here. Thanks SILEO ////// Naprosto výjimečné místo pro rodinný výlet, romantický víkend, firemní teambuilding, turistickou základnu nebo pořádnou žúrku. Kdo Sileo nenavštívil neví o co přišel. Oáza klidu a pohody, úžasné místo na úpatí Tater. Dokonalý servis pána domu Milanka a jeho krásné Adinky v doprovodu charismatického Džejára, skvělá domácí kuchyně Lubici a Jara. A k tomu všemu ještě mnoho navíc! Ale to musíte zažít sami. Tady se cítím doma. Díky SILEO

I spent almost 3 days in Sileo and I would absolutely recommend it to everybody. I cant understand how its possible that one can like it so much. Everything was so perfect I couldnt believe it. I would start with homemade food. No matter what you choose,it tastes deliciously. People there work so hard just to satisfy their customers - and its not so often in Slovakia. Ive been to several foreign countries so I can compare the services with other places. Warm words, great behaviour,willingness,heart-kinded people are not the exception - its a rule. Rooms are fully equipped and everything looks luxuriously. I felt very comfortable, there. I was very excited when I heard they often prepare parties like the party after wedding or other celebrations. Sileo should be well-known and I wish Sileo and family working there best wishes and good luck. I will definitely come back one day! :)

After a long and tiring drive down from Bratislava I arrived at this place , I must say have past it many times upon staying else where and it has always been busy. Anyway went into the reception area and there were all these people enjoying them selves it was a party of Photographer's on a weekend away and making the most of it . Well there I was one British man among a few Slovaks and a few Czech's and of course after spending a lot of time in Slovakia still I cannot understand or speak the lingo, My thoughts were how the hell am I going to communicate well that was short lived because the owner could speak broken English and the first bit I under stood was before you go up to your room and unpack you must have a welcome drink with me , Out come this bottle of home made plum drink out came the glasses and away we were . After trying to drink this and a wobble I went to the room and a big Beautiful room decorated nicely and beautiful power shower . Had shower Dressed and down I went had a very nice meal and then after I finished along came the Czechs they sat down with me and then along came the Slovaks they also sat down and then it was party time by 11.30 pm big English had , had enough , cannot drink like these people so retired and went to bed like English Puppy . Next day nice breakfast and then in the evening the owner held a BBQ and a very good one at that .
I have stayed in a lot of places and very nice hotel's in Slovakia but I have never ever been treated as well as this it was really like home from home but better and you can see from all the remarks from the people who stay there why they all have good things to say about the place . I can only say good things about it and the owners and would also like to say a special thanks to the people staying there for making me welcome . Its true it is a little out of the way but in the area it is in there a lot of small and large hotels and where ever you stay it's the same. If I was to rate this place it could only be 10/10 and from now on it would be the first place I would try and stay. See you all next year !!

Beautiful guest house built on the site of a former forester.
The accommodation is stylish with a sensitive and tasteful design. The kitchen is simply outstanding! There are many tourist destinations easily accessible. The building has a huge garden and sports facilities.
Nature is beautiful and untouched wave of tourism as in neighboring High Tatras. Access to the guest from the small staff is very friendly and professional.
The entire property is non-smoking except for the terrace. It is worth mentioning a well-stocked bar and the amount of unusual mixed drinks. The location is ideal for corporate events and meetings with friends holidays for families with children. Love of nature is required.

After long day of travelling from Budapest we arrived to lodge SILEO, a beautiful and charming place in the foothills of high Tetra mountains. The hospitality of Milan, the owner, and his crew, was just great, and we felt just like at home!!! nice and comfortable rooms, excellent food (try the raspberry soup), and very beautifull and quiet area. Lodge Sileo - unforgetable place!

I discovered SILEO in february 2013, when my friends take me there for weekend, cause I was tired and needed relax a lot!

Beautiful area which I called "snow fairy tale" (there was at least more than one meter of snow!), comfortable and nice rooms, delicious food, family atmosphere and very friendly, funny, handy and imaginative Sileo´s owner and bartender in one person charmed me so much, that I have to visit this unique place again.

I was there in april with my family and friends again and spent great time with all Sileo´s stuff.
Because I really want to enjoy summer atmosphere with guitar play, fire, fine grill food and fresh summer drinks, I will go there also in this summer.

PS: if you want to reset your body and mind completely, experience fun beyond your expactation, taste firedrinks which starts your adrenalin and other other more....you just have to VISIT SILEO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and I can guarantee, that you will return!!! :)

PS2: At least I can´t forgot cute little "white devil" :D - dog called "J.R" - you will love him, hug him and want to take him home :)
