Staying here felt more like being in someone's house than in a traditional B&B but that didn't make it any less comfortable, Jane was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome after a long day's walk. Very welcoming. A comfortable room. Great town. Local pub's chilly barkeep served chilly beer. Good breakfast along with great conversation. No lavender to be found ??? A safe bet all around. Packed lunches available.

What really sets Lavender House apart from many other B+B's that I have stayed in is the very friendly welcome from Jane, the hostess and the absolutely fantastic breakfast, fit for a king or queen. With this very tasty breakfast there...
