This is the third time we have stayed at Redlands and can't fault it. It is a short drive to Birmingham city centre and the NEC. The accommodation is warm and cosy and clean. There is even a fridge and microwave in the room. There is a pub/restaurant less than ten minutes away. we re looking forward to visiting in... More

Everything about the trip was awful. Made to feel like we were putting her out. Came to pay and yes I had agreed to bring cash however after a long long day at the NEC I forgot. I asked on the morning of departure if she knew where a cash point was and was told "you're just going to have... More

Stayed with my elderly father while visiting the NEC. The rooms are spread around the lovely garden so no lugging suitcases up stairs; ideal for the older generation. Very clean and comfortable with everything you need - we slept like logs! As for the breakfast what can I say.....huge, delicious and piping hot. Thank you for a stress free visit.

I stayed here with a colleague as we were attending an exhibition at the NEC. It is literally a 5 minute taxi journey away, costing about £5 or so. Yvonne, the owner, is friendly and welcoming, and the property is pleasant. Our twin room was located in the outer building, and overlooked the spacious garden area. The room was clean... More

A stones throw from the NEC, International Station and Resort World. When you arrive, Redlands doesnt look like a guesthouse. However I was pleasently surprised with both the room and the service. The room is well decorated and very comfortable. Set in a lovely cabin house with a view of the well kept garden. It was a decent size and... More

The website clearly states checkin is up until 10pm, however, arriving just a little after nine pm the place was found to be locked up and no lights on. Nobody answered the door bell either. When Hotels.com eventually managed to get hold of the proprietor, a woman appeared from the side gate and rather rudely instructed me to 'get your... More

Arrived to a place with no lights and looking deserted and spent 20-30 minutes trying to speak to someone at hotel.com after having rung the doorbell continuously. Finally got through to a helpful customer support who phoned the guest house to notify them of our presence and where then greeted by a sharp tonguec women who stated that we should've... More

We were visiting for one night and wanted somewhere close to the NEC. The Redlands fits the bill. Very reasonably priced, several little chalets ( mostly wooden) in the large garden of a private property. Appeared clean, but initially did have a smell of dampness. Once the radiator was turned up it wasn't a problem for us. Very cosy and... More

Visiting the NEC & knowing how close this was I booked for myself initially but then called a few days later to say my husband would be joining me too, a double room was offered without any issue. We really enjoyed our stay & after arriving a bit early, we were given a key & left for the NEC for... More

Lady who I'm assuming owned the place was incredibly helpful and nice! Got us into our room even after check in so we could leave our stuff before we headed into the nec and the breakfast was large and delicious. Plenty to drink and eat! All round great stay. Thanks! :)
