Unfortunately I visited with a friend yesterday for lunch. We waited for about 8 minutes to be seated.I appreciate the place was probably busy, but several members of staff walked passed and not one acknowledged us. Due to the poor customer service we left and went elsewhere.
Stayed here last week and had a deluxe room overlooking the broads. A brilliant view and always something to look at. Very Covid secure. Room clean and plenty of soft towels in bathroom. A few toiletries also. Young woman on reception was very pleasant and helpful. Plenty of car parking spaces. Breakfast was good, good quality food and good helpful serving staff. Was very pleased that one of the waitresses asked a gentleman customer to put his mask on when he was standing, twice. I asked for her name at reception as I was so pleased she had done that. Well done to Carrie. Was very pleased with our stay at this hotel and will certainly stay here again.
Visited restaurant with friends. Complete pre order form as requested when booking made. Booked table for 7.30pm only 6 of us. By 8pm still no food, waitress had no clue whatsoever. 8.30pm I complained again. Told pre orders not put through so we was no going to have to wait until those who came in after us got food. Finally got meals but some lacking in quality and taste. No apology offered nothing. I won’t be eating there again. It seems that staff and service have forgotten how to function after restrictions lifted. Managers get the act together.
What is wrong with the customer service here. The gentleman who was at the door was nice and helpful, it all went downhill when our waitress bought the drinks, after a 15 minute wait, shuving the drinks down not telling us which drink was which (had a pineapple and j2o so drinks looked alike). Ordered a carvery and wasn't give a pen to choose what we would like to order and my goodness, the waitress sighed and reluctantly gave a pen over, half heartedly. One plate of food came out and the carvery was no where to be seen. Over 40 minutes later, no carvery... had to find someone to ask where the food was, we spoke to a lovely lady which was the receptionist and the original waitress rolled her eyes in the background and walked away like a teenage girl getting moody. Yet again customer service is just extremely bad.... shame because the food was nice.…
We stayed three nights in room 205, with lovely views out over the broad. Facilities are basic - this is definitely a 3* hotel - but the staff are so friendly and helpful. We were on a cycling trip and they provided parking in a secure area for us, which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely come back here. Food is very much standard pub stodge, but you won’t get better in the area.
