Surrounded by olive groves and orchards of quince and fig trees, San Fantino is beautifully secluded and peaceful. Sebastiano is a fantastic host with lots of great tips of where to go, and the meals he made were some of the best we had on the whole holiday. Very relaxing atmosphere with delicious home made jams and yoghurt for breakfast,... More

This small B&B is nicely located within easy walking distance to the town of San Giovanni a Piro (although plenty of steps & fairly steep gradient). Cosy & homely, the lounge/dining area is shared by all, with a variety of locally grown herbal teas available. Breakfast consists of cereal, home gown fruit, coffee/tea, toast & variety of homemade jams, plus... More

Having spent only 4 nights in this amazing bed and breakfast as they like to call themselves I would reply that it actually was a 5 star Heaven. not only you are in the middle of a beautiful country side in Italy but also on the foot of a National park with its tranquillity and the best place to charge... Great character & depth, and that's just the owner Sebastiano with his love of opera & Tebaldi, good food, exceptional wine and his take on life. There's also his really cool, brilliantly located house, idiosyncratic decor & collections of books, his dogs and his enthusiasm. Add to that the local towns, actually the entire area, some great recommendations of quirky... More

We arrived at night and were met with a delicious supper of melanzane and risotto and a friendly handshake from the owner Sebastiano. The holiday got off to a good start. San Fantino is somewhere between a hotel and a B&B. We took a boat with the owner and his mother along the coast and were recommended a brilliant restaurant... More

The Locanda is situated in a wonderful spot in a remote location and getting there is part of the adventure. The rooms are simple but nice and the whole place is surrounded by beautiful nature. There's tons of things to do for a family from hiking, to helping Sebastiano pick food and vegetables for the evening meal, to going to... More

This was just an excellent holiday! Best place with the best views, food and atmosphere. The sea and the small beaches are unspoiled and beautiful. The host was really welcoming, full of great stories and wonderful with the children. As you can read I can fully recommend this place!

This rating is counting fourfold: I asked my wife, daughter and son. We all agree that this was an exceptional holiday: All of us give FIVE STARS to San Fantino. Our kids liked the very friendly dogs. The nature is wonderful at this place, almost like in a dream. Sebastiano, our host, is very friendly and kind. He cooks like... More

This place can be a little tricky to find on your own but the owner is willing to help and picks some people up from the nearest train station. When we arrived were greeted with a bowl of freshly picked cherries. The converted farm house is beautiful and retains the feel of the old world. The surrounding area offers plenty... More

Locanda San Fantino gave us everything we look for in a holiday - excellent local food and wine, a charming, helpful and entertaining host, stunning scenery, lots to discover and explore in this unspoilt area, and a home-from-home environment. Sebastiano, the proprietor, is an excellent cook and has endless ideas for daily adventures. Equally you could just spend your day... More
