Went as a family four adults three children. Youngest had child's menu and was very good. Adults all had the roast dinner followed by desserts. All served quick and hot. We had to wait for part of our drinks order even after reminding the waitress when she brought our mains. Overall we were very satisfied and would return if in...

We meet here for a family birthday. After a slight misunderstanding over the booking we were shown to a table near to a blazing log fire. Very good menu choice, staff very attentive but service wasn't brilliant . Food was good , prices reasonable

I stayed for one night when attending a wedding at nearby Dodmoor House. It's really close to the venue. The room was clean and spacious. I also had a lovely view over a stream (mill race). For the price, the room really was a great size. It was nice to have a choice of bath or shower. The hallways do...

For a really small town, there are lots of choices for places to eat. The crossroads is attached to a travel lodge type hotel, but it isn't a 'chain' restaurant. Large menu with lots and lots of meat dishes, and lots of 'pulled' pork, actually pulled port comes with everything (a trend at the moment). I had the risotto, which...

This is a place from hell booked in as needed overnight stay food service real slow not staff fault put in a room which is part of the main building and sounded like I had a road sweeper in my bedroom I complained only to be told it's the kitchen fans so why rent out rooms where the noise is...

Arrived was seen striaght to a table. Ordered, the waitress was lovely. We ordered the two course special at just £12.50 excellent value for money. Pate and whitebait were lovely, mushroom dish cold. Gammon OK, one steak was perfect, one was overdone. Having said that, it was OK, needs a bit more attention I think.

We stayed at the Crossroads so we could be with family nearby. Reception staff were very helpful in allocating appropriate rooms for our party, we needed three rooms for people with mobility issues for 4 nights. Unfortunately we were three nights without hot water, one of those with no heating, there seemed to be poor communication on this, with staff...

We stayed for 2 nights as attended a wedding nearby. The room was clean and a nice size (lovely to sleep in an queen size bed!), the staff were friendly and attentive. We ate in the restaurant and it far exceeded our expectations. Definitely would recommend to others!

The summary above says the most important bit to us. We eat here fairly regularly when I can't face cooking or simply want to have a 3 course meal. This Sunday - 15/01/17 - was such a day, grey and cold and wet so no need to garden, walk a dog, ride a bike or wash a car. Arrived on...
