Had a fabulous weekend. We decided to stay for my husband's 60th. It was worth every penny. Very quiet and secluded. Amazing food and both times we visited the pool, we had to ourselves. Both evenings we unwound after dinner with a drink and film in our room (Sky available in rooms). We usually holiday somewhere that has a pub...

Did not have the best start to the year and as a surprise to all we booked two lodges for the Christmas break. Having read the reviews and visited before we booked (we booked before we left which was at the end of June) and we got the last two lodges at the time. Both lodges were spacious and very...

Just returned from our 'Christmas Package' 3 night stay in Squirrell Cottage. Brilliant time had and already contemplating re booking for next Xmas and a summer stay too! We love this particular part of Norfolk and have previously stayed in different accomodation/cottages each year normally in the summer. Although all have also been to a high standard and we have...

We have just returned from a wonderful Xmas break at Felbrigg Lodge. We have spent Xmas away from home in the past, but nothing has compared to how welcome we were made to feel at Felbrigg Lodge. The lodge was absolutely lovely; there were all sorts of Xmas extras which were most thoughtful and welcome; the food was superb; but...

I can't let 2016 disappear without writing a review for this wonderful hotel in Aylmerton. The fact that I have stayed here twice this year (June and September) for 5 nights on each occasion should speak volumes about its quality, however I would like to be specific about some of Felbrigg Lodge's excellent features. I am in my fifties and...

We had a 3 night dinner bed and breakfast mid week deal which was good value. Lovely staff; efficient and pleasant. Oak Room was super; comfortable bed, huge bath and the seating area was great. It meant we could really relax with the radio/tv and newspapers. Food in the restaurant was delicious with a good choice and completely different menu...

We booked on line having read some reviews. Found the website confusing with rooms classified by metal standards starting at bronze so took ages to find what level we wanted but made it in the end. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Felbrigg Lodge in a unique small boutique hotel in North Norfolk (we are boutique not because of the modern minimalistic décor, but because we are one of a kind, we have an independent attitude and our clients are individualist too. We offer a unique guest experience)The hotel is not a typical one it has no long dark corridors where someone slams a door at 2am,or drops a shoe on the floor just when you have got to sleep. Nor does it have large empty reception rooms which look like an upmarket furniture warehouse which are only full on high days and holidays. We don't need them all our rooms are suites and have ample seating again not like most hotels that are so small you have to sit on the bed to be comfortable and watch telly. We are set in a beautiful woodland location where relaxation and peace are paramount. There are eight rooms set in the grounds which are all ground floor. The remaining two can be found in the main house on the first floor , the house also includes the small intimate restaurant that even when we are full you will never experience an extensive wait for your food. We now boast a small conservatory which overlooks the garden and babbling brook. As we are licensed you can relax and enjoy a drink, or a glass of wine. All rooms are individually styled 5 having recently been recently refurbished. We have a heated indoor swimming pool, and an outside hot tub. We endeavour to make exceptional friendly customer service our mission. ... more   less
