We had our wedding at Dalhousie Castle on the 15th April. In the lead up we were quite concerned as to the teams ability to deliver a great experience as we found it difficult to connect with the hotel on the telephone and we often waited up to 5 days for a response to an e-mail. The service that we...

Our family had a wonderful time here - from exploring secret passages to a phenomenal dinner in the Dungeon Restaurant, to sleeping in a castle turret to flying hawks and owls at the falconry. Everything about this castle is amazing! Staff are friendly and helpful and the grounds are gorgeous. We will definitely be back!

We last visited this castle hotel 15 years ago. Then it was tired, in need of basic maintenance .. and the food was certainly in need of some basic 'repairs'. Last weekend's wedding with the hotel under a different ownership shows just how things can change. Firstly the food: we ate the evening before the wedding in 'The Dungeon' and...

We were guests for one night 6 May. Our booking included dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately the room was very worn out. One chair was thread bare with the stuffing showing. Absolutely needs updating. Your website states there was free wifi available. As it turns out wifi only works in public areas. This was not made clear on your website. We...

Imagine you’re in Scotland, flying falcons and practicing archery in a castle yard (not at the same time). When dinnertime comes you sip your whisky in a library and get led down to the dungeon for dinner. After dinner you retire to your bedchamber for a good nights sleep. This was our epic day spent at Dalhousie Castle. Unforgettable experiences...

I stated at Dalhousie this week for my fathers 70th birthday. While the castle, ground were lovely and the staff in the spa were very good and went out of there way to fit us in. The breakfast was a let down. We had to wait for over 45 minutes and ask twice for service/when it was coming. Then when...

We stayed at Dalhousie Castle for four days whilst on honeymoon. Our room was clean, warm and nicely decorated, with a modern bathroom. On the first evening we dined in the Dungeon restaurant, which was an amazing experience throughout, starting with choosing our menu over a sherry and canapes in the library. The food was fabulous and the staff very...

Fabulous place to stay- lovely spa facilities, luxurious bedrooms and superb dining in the Dungeon and the Orangery. The history of the castle is embedded in its fabric and the lovely touches of family lineage adorning the walls made very interesting reading. We didn't have time to fully exploit all the delights this wonderful hotel/castle has to offer but the...

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at the Dalhousie. The ambiance was exquisite; we loved that the current owner has kept the atmosphere true to the time period and local culture. We toured most of the castle including some secret passages which were a ton of fun! The rooms were comfortable and had all the creature comforts we expected....

Two lovely nights in a themed room in this romantic luxury hotel with dinner both evenings. Its an Impressive hotel with equally impressive food, but the continual up and down stairs was a challenge for we oldies, even though we were on the first floor. A lift would be appreciated.
