Stayed at this establishment for 2 nights whilst attending a local sales conference.
The website gives the impression that the facilities are set up for the residents of the hotel. This is not the case. It is an exceptionally busy 'local' sports centre and golf club. And this is

Thank you for your comments. We apologise that you feel your stay did not meet your expectations. As a country club, we do have a wide range of facilities which are complimentary to use for our hotel guests. With regards to the hotel rooms being in a separate entrance, we do have a night porter who patrols the hotel during the night and they also carry a phone which you can contact either from your room, or the hotel lobby if any issues do arise. We appreciate all feedback that we receive and will ensure your comments are reviewed.

Went to lovely wedding reception but toilet facilities for wheelchair users are terrible. Member of staff had to let us through locked door, then down long corridor to lift that just took a small electric chair. Out of lift through very heavy doors into not very clean multi use t

Staff were very helpful and pleasant on arrival. Wasn’t what we had expected, the reception area feels like you are in a leisure centre. Visiting and wanting to use spa facilities only to find the pool busy with children’s swimming lessons. Had a massage in the spa which was v

Thank you very much for leaving your thoughts. I am very pleased to hear that out staff did us proud once again. I do apologise that there were the children's swimming lessons when you wanted to use the pool, we hope to welcome you again and we can let you know the adult only times for swimming. I really got the wrong impression of the hotel when I booked it so I’m leaving this as a warning for anyone else.
I thought this would be a relaxing sort-of-resort countryside hotel given the ‘spa’, gym facilities and golf course that are heavily mentioned and of course I’m sure

Hello Rosemarie. I thank you for taking the time to leave a review, but am sorry that your stay was not what you had expected. We do have a very extensive range of facilities as you have mentioned that I hope you managed to take advantage of. I can assure you that out beds are not 'cheap and basic' we work with the leading bed and mattress suppliers for hotel use and they are replaced regularly so that remark is simply not the case. Our rooms are freshly painted annually to keep them clean and tidy and have huge windows to let in as much light as possible. Our flat screen Televisions are a standard size for the distance away from the bed and no we do not have a DVD player but we also do not advertise that we do. I am sorry if there was a problem with the cleanliness of you bathroom and glasses if this had been brought to out attention at the time we would have done anything necessary to rectify any issues. Unfortunately there is little we can do about other guests behaviour however we do employ a night porter to be on the premisses all night for the sole reason of helping any guests needing assistance and he would have happily gone and sorted any noise issues if he was told. Once again I am sorry that your experience was not as I would have liked it to be but I am very pleased to hear that you thought our receptionist was a credit.

This is a leisure complex with a lodge containing bedrooms attached, rather than a spa hotel as such. The staff were pleasant and welcoming but the bedrooms were dark, slightly dusty and could do with brightening up. The bathrooms were functional but again could really do with up

I am a little concerned to all the bad reviews I’ve read on here, My husband and I had our wedding at your hotel 10years ago on the 18th Oct hence why I decided for our 10th Anniversary I would book with you, and had pointed this out to the lady on the phone and said I would like our room too, I don’t want to cancel as I organised this a while back, can you confirm that the complaints from others have been looked into, e.g food, damp rooms etc D Stubbs
We stayed there not long ago and I can assure you the concerns mentioned had NOT been taken care of! Hope this helps?
