After having a stressful week we wanted a little break away, in the end we left the first night we arrived as we couldn’t bare to be there any longer! Dirty, disruptive, unclean and noisy. Our room was unclean, you could write in the dust on the mirrors and even a mark from where someone had kissed the mirror and it not been cleaned, hot tub was not clean a lot of black dirt at the bottom… we sat down to have a bite to eat in the bar and just as we started the fire alarm went off and we all had to be evacuated, after about 10 minutes we were told it was a false alarm as someone was vaping in their room and we could go back in, as we started to walk back in we were told not to go in as we had to wait for the fire engine. Once we finally got back in we were offered fresh food however this was just reheated and sent back out to us and not even very hot!! Finally got back to our room and tried to get to sleep when around 11pm a noise occurred and it was the sound of water running through pipes in the wall from what we could work out was next doors shower/tap and it was so loud we couldn’t sleep. We decided enough was enough and we wanted to go home, spoke to the night Porter who told us we would be contacted the next day as we’d already sent an email as well regarding how disappointed we were and we hadn’t heard anything two days later so called the hotel in which we were told “the Porter shouldn’t have told you that, the manager is on holiday and we can’t help” so quite frankly the staff where rude and unhelpful too. Considering the hotel had a lot of time to fix these things during Covid & their website states how “clean” the rooms are after every visit I was shocked to say the least. Will not be returning.

Stayed here as a night away from the teenagers indoors, we tried ringing Aura for a week before our stay to book massages, however she never answered the phone or called us back, which was disappointing. Swimming pool, spa, jacuzzi etc were lovely and clean. Was disappointed with our room, it was an outdated premier inn room basically, but not as quiet as a premier inn, it was noisy with residents throughout the night. Room wasn’t spotless either, there were stains on the bases of the beds, which were visible and the mattresses were so uncomfortable, so did not have a good night sleep. Food was very much Wetherspoons.

So I required a hotel to stay for work, the hotel is clean and just what we required. Yes the tv in the room is small but that doesn't matter. The rooms are clean and tidy and the view out onto the golf course is amazing. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and yes under extra pressure due to the Covid situation but they are always helpful.

I had the misfortune to stay here just after they reopened after Covid lockdown and it is probably the worst "hotel" I have ever stayed in! I arrived to check in at 1850 and was asked if I wanted to each as the kitchen closed in 10 minutes so she would have to call to tell them I was on my way. The receptionist told me I didn't have time to drop my bags in the room just to leave them @ reception and go straight up....not having eaten since breakfast I did as asked (btw there was no secure area for my bag I was instructed to leave it by reception and they would "keep an eye on it") Arriving at the bar area, I was presented with a menu that only had sandwiches - no proper dinners! So I ordered what I thought would be quick and easy to make and ordered the Minute Steak Baguette with Dijon Mayonnaise, Onion and Chips. The food arrived and on biting into half of it found it to be as tough as leather, the other half was virtually rare and I never found the Dijon Mayo....oh well I can survive on the Chips until the promised continental breakfast in the morning I thought and left the sandwich to pick up my bags and go relax in my room for the evening After collecting my bag from reception and making the long trudge to the separate building where the rooms are, I started to settle in...set up my laptop and connected to the WiFi (btw it took a while to find a decent signal in the room) then visited the bathroom......imagine my horror on lifting the toilet lid to find evidence of the last occupant! After taking a quick photo and cleaning/sanitizing I realised that reception was about to close (yep, nobody available after 9pm) so went to report and show the evidence. The lady at reception was horrified and took a photo of my photo to show housekeeping etc. and said she could possibly find another room....well I was tired, hungry and not in the mood to re-pack/move rooms so accepted a glass of wine as an apology Going back to my room I had a closer look around and OMG - dirty overflow in the bath and hairs, dead insect in the carpet, unidentifiable gooey stuff on the bathroom door, stained and filthy walls and dirty/dusty skirting board. I didn't even want to look at the bed in any sort of detail so settled down to watch the footie on my laptop - 20 mins in the wifi died so i spent the next couple of hours in my car using my own wifi. Later, returning to the room from hell, I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep in the bed I dozed in the armchair (after covering it with some towels from the bathroom) Next morning I arrive to get my continental breakfast at 0730 as instructed (cooked isn't available until 9AM). After waiting for 20 minutes for the golfers to be served their takeaway coffee I asked for some Tea and the continental breakfast. Well to say the server looked baffled is an understatement, after looking puzzled I was told that she may be able to find me some cereal somewhere and maybe some yogurt! For that I would have been charged (with a tea) best part of £12 - guess what I did - yep left! Went to reception, reported all of this and showed the photos....confirmed all my contact details and guess what....not heard a peep from them! Unhappy Guest!

The hotel is awful dirty walls this as a tent Telly is 14inch awfull It is the worst hotel I have stayed in and expensive I would give this hotel 0 star rating Need full revamp The golf part is lovely But hotel bad really bad
