We've eaten here many times before and never had a bad meal. We used to live in Brixham but moved back to London four years ago so this is our first stay. The greeting was very friendly and checking in was a breeze. We were given all information needed and offers of help with luggage or anything else required. The...

Haven't been to eat for a while but the food is still superb and the staff efficient and friendly. The quality of the food and wine was excellent. Although fairly busy you didn't feel neglected or rushed. Great evening.

This is a really nice hotel, with all modern amenities. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean and tidy. Plenty of parking onsite. The restaurant does need to be booked separately to the hotel as it does get rather busy. The food is absolutely brilliant and is served by a team of friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely visit...

Room was a good size and peaceful. Plenty of supportive pillows, bed comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities plentiful and fresh milk available - just ask. Powerful shower and bathroom amenities. Very good value. Breakfast very good too as were our meals in the restaurant both evenings. It is a very busy restaurant so you may have a wait for food...

Great hotel. The room was a decent size with a king-size bed. Staff went above the standard expected. We even had a knock at our door to say last food orders being taken which is just an example of hoe friendly the staff are. Food was tasty and of decent standard. Only down side was the room and restaurant felt...

Have just returned from a 2 night break to celebrate hubbys birthday. First impressions were nice big car park, lovely bar restaurant area and a warm welcome. We stayed in room 2 which was absolutely delightful, loved the decor and it was warm and very comfortable. The ensuite bath/shower room whilst not big was perfectly adequate and best of all,...

Dear Sue595, Thank you for your comprehensive review, I am so pleased that on the whole your stay was positive and very much appreciate your patience and understanding with the issues you mention. I have fed back your kitchen issues to head Chef Will - who actually cooked your breakfast on both mornings. He's not sure what went wrong -...

I have stayed here a few times. It has a good location for visiting the area without actually entering Brixham. Rooms clean & adequate. Need to book in advance. Restaurant recommended. Large car park. Olde World feel.

Having summered in this area for over 30 years, we made an autumn visit for a family gathering. It was a good while since we'd tried this hostelry but as my brother and wife were staying at this, one of our old haunts, we decided to join them for an evening meal! We were delighted with the quality of the...

Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting family. Our double room was comfortable but in need of a facelift. Despite being close to the main road noise was not a problem. Only the whistle of the steam train to Dartmouth! Lovely.Lots of hot water, tea and coffee hot towel-rail, tv. Breakfast finished at 9.30 which we think is too early...
