Staff welcoming and friendly, and helpful. We had to leave before breakfast, they were happy to make up a nosebag and leave it out for us. Pub area a little snug but we were able to take our drinks through into the guesthouse lounge. Room, not quite so hot. We were on the 2nd floor and the space constricted by...

Yes it's only 2 star, but the welcome was the best. the view from the front rooms is THE BEST. Kites swoop above, grey wagtails hop around the garden and black birds were singing in the trees. A cuckoo mobbed by a meadow pipit flew overhead. Brilliant location for walking and bird watching. For Supper we had plenty of choice...

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of April and had a very pleasant stay. The room was spacious. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very obliging. We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area. It is in an ideal spot for Devils Bridge the waterfalls and the Vale of Rheidol Railway.

my bedroom was a bit dated but very clean, this is a family hotel and they made us very welcome. full breakfast and evening meals were excellent. the views from the garden are great and if you are into birdwatching red kites are nesting nearby and are nearly always on show. michelle and dane helped to make lovely break better....

We appreciated the large shower, immaculate linens, brand new carpet, numerous electrical outlets, and scenic views from Room #3. But Karen and Rob were the best part of our stay, along with the delicious meals and conversation with the locals in the pub. What began as an inquiry, became an unexpected highlight of our holiday.

We stopped in for a drink after getting soaked on our cycle trip last week. The welcome was friendly and the fire was needed to thaw us out. Reasonably priced beer and nice atmosphere. We would have stayed the night but had reservations elsewhere which was a shame!
