I stayed here for 2 nights on a visit to the University, The owner Karen was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. We ate in the bar both nights and the food there and breakfast was lovely and good value. The only negative was the size of the ensuite, it was tiny! we had the twin room on...

Comfortable, scenic, amazingly friendly family-run. They take excellent and attentive care of you. Perfect chill-out hotel, and excellent base for Devils Bridge, and the gorgeous area (hike or drive), etc. Sorry we could only make a one-night stay x

The hotel is a little tired but don't let that put you off. Good comfy bed, great breakfast and good price more than made up for it Superb location near to the mountain bike trails and visitors centre etc. Good for walking also I would imagine

Stayed here a few times now and each time the staff are friendly and welcoming and the rooms are nice with an ensuite. The hotel has WIFI although I think there is a £1 charge for the code which is reasonable. Breakfast is nice with a full English or continental to choose from. Will no doubt be staying here again...

18 of us descended on this hotel for 2 nights, a group of aging marshalling folk for the Welsh WRC rally. We've been before, demanding a crack of dawn breakfast and early evening meals. This time we noticed obvious improvements: some refreshed bedrooms, carpets and a buzz about the hotel that gave it a really positive feel. Food was good, tasty...

Popped in here for a drink on the way back to devils bridge. Very warm welcome and lovely owner she even lit the fire for us. Extremely clean place and the drink was good. The food was recommended in our cottage information but sadly we never got time to eat here. Stunning view in the back garden a must to...

Genuine warm and friendly stay , with lovely food next to a real log fire. That is what I had while I stayed here. Considering this is only a two star hotel it was very nice. The view from the rear garden was lovely. The only down side was the noise from the passing trucks early in the morning.

Lovely hotel in good grounds, friendly staff. The food was excellent and plenty of it and reasonably priced. The room was very light and airy with a nice view to the side and tea and coffee making facilities. Next time we come up we will definitely consider staying.
