On arrival, we were met by a nice young barman who was very helpful. The bar was empty and did not serve lager or Guinness. Room was very small but clean and warm. The place feels more like a B&B than a hotel. Breakfast was served by a young man who was very pleasant. However there was only coffee sachets,...

I ended up with the smallest room in hotel I think, match box TV did not work properly in room, but very friendly service and clean rooms, as for the town it is stunning one pub one cafe and we managed to spend half a day just looking around the views are amazing.

Portsoy is a tiny spot on the map, we stayed here because we had a meeting with someone working in a town close by, Its the sort of place where you walk into the local pub on the waterfront, and everyone stops drinking for a split second to look at you..like one of those movies, one drink and you're out,...

We didnt stay at the hotel. but had previuosly eaten on our visit before. This time it was something new an Indian restaurant within the hotel. From looking at the website it looks like a curry night went well, so they made this their fortay. No difference in ambiance to 18 months previous just a tv playing coronation street and some...

Portsoy is beautiful, worth staying a weekend. The Boyne Hotel was average. Trying to be something it's not instead of concentrating on great guest satisfaction. It is a basic hotel, more like a guest house. When checking in, a young lady setting tables in the bar came to instruct the man on how to check us in when he had...

This was a rather late in the day booking and I really did not give much time to choosing accommodation. I don't regret the choice but frankly it was nothing special. Down side. The room I had was a single and was quite small. The only place to put my open suitcase overnight was on the table/desk right up against...

I visit Portsoy a lot , and noticed that the hotel has changed its menu, which in my mind was overdue. It now does Indian food specific opening times Monday -Thursday 06:30-0830 and at the weekend starts slightly earlier think 05:30, the food was beautiful and the p rice was very reasonable. I would recommend anyone who likes Indians to...

Went on a quiet drive to Portsoy for a bite to eat and came across this cosy, Indian Restaraunt/Hotel. The staff was very polite and welcoming. I ordered a Chicken Korma and my partner ordered the Vegetable Pakoras and Chicken Tikka Masala - finished our plates as was very, very tasty! Didn't have to wait for our drinks or food,...

Stayed for 4 nights in August, up in Portsoy visiting friends. I had a lovely stay, Portsoy is beautiful & the hotel is quaint & cosy & everything I needed for an enjoyable stay. I requested a specific room no. prior to my visit & I received an email confirming they'd put me here. My room was very clean &...

We parked on the square just in front of the hotel which was nice and close. On arrival we weren't really sure of where to go from the entrance as there's no signage. We went into the bar where we were able to check in. The young lady in the bar said she was new so we were accepting of...
