Bargain break was very good value and the evening meal was enhanced by a free bottle of Prosecco! Only negative was a lack of comfortable seating around the lounge fire which would have provided a relaxing place to unwind after a day's walking.

Good service with polite and friendly staff. We were given a large room with an excellent TV (once we fathomed out the remotes!). Food was very good especially breakfast and the fish and chips with proper home-made chips - not the frozen type.

Nice place ideally located for walking. very dog friendly - even in the rooms. Breakfast is good and plenty of it. Nice friendly staff and a good bar. Plenty of parking. We didn't eat in the bar but the food looked good with big portions.

For a no frills, no fuss hotel The Buck is a great place to stay. Perfect location for exploring the area. Roaring fire and great food for relaxing in the evening after a day out walking. And only a few miles from Settle

The pub is situated in the village of Malham and so is a handy place to stay in the Yorkshire Dales. We had a good breakfast, the room was Ok though a little small, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Ask for a room overlooking the Beck running through the village. The hotel is rather nice in layout down stairs as there is an area designed for walkers with boots and back packs with an area that's warm and cosy for a pleasant drink and meal without hiking gear all sharing the same large bar.

“Probably not a big problem in any room getting a decent sleep at this time of year - Sunday and Probably all reasonable and a good night's sleep. Based on what, do I hear. Well, Sunday and Sunday and Monday weren't noisy nights. Sunday was fairly busy in the village area during the day but Malham emptied early evening The folks staying at the Buck were outdoorsy and probably saving their energy for the Dales and I'm guessing the local folks don't go bonkers on a winter's Saturday night. Fair enough, it's only guessing but I'd have a tenner on it. Well a pound anyway.”
