Sadly we only stayed one night but we loved every minute of it. We had a family room (room 21) in the Lister Barn and it was wonderful (although we found the entrance keypad to be temperamental). The barn itself is beautifully decorated with a lovely communal area and a log burner, which we sat in front of playing games...

A charming old pub with decent if not great bedrooms, excellent staff and good food. So why only 3? Would have ben a solid 4 all day long but I found the dog obsession overpowering. To be fair there is a welcome no dogs rule in the restaurant, but at times the bar is more like a kennels than a...

Had a very enjoyable weekend here. Accommodation was warm and cosy with good sized rooms. The staff were friendly but also very efficient and professional. The bar area was very cosy with open fires and very nicely decorated, with a good choice of real ale on the bar. The restaurant also had very nice decor but it was the food...

3 night stay at this great pub/inn in the centre of Malham. Our rooms were beautifully decorated (just been done) and the breakfasts were great- great range of fresh local food and plenty of it. Evening meals in the pub equally tasty and generously portioned. Would certainly recommend as a base to explore the dales.

This lovely place which is in stunning surroundings provided a warm welcome, cosy comfortable accommodation. With roaring fires good selection of beers and an excellent menu added to this a fabulous friendly team made for a fantastic weekend. Would highly recommend it.

We stayed in the newly converted (old cove centre) part. It was a lovely place to stay with the dogs. Very stylish, had thought of everything even an enclosed garden for the dogs to use. Couldn't praise it enough. Rooms and facilities were wonderful. Well done to whoever designed and thought of everything. A true dog friendly place.

This is not the restaurant they would have you believe it is! We had scallops with "pea purée" and ox cheek pansotti to start. The so-called "pea purée" was just blended mushy peas with a bit of mint thrown in. The scallops were nothing special and the ox cheek pansotti was tough as old boots - the pasta (or whatever...

We took an amazing walk up Malham cove. When we got back in the village we saw the Lister arms and there was a sign outside saying pot of Yorkshire Tea and Scones, well that's what we wanted, we went right in. Welcomed with a smile and an open fire, we sat on comfy seats my husband had to pull...

We stayed earlier this week at the Lister Arms B&B in their new 'Lister Barn' in a 'Barn Character Room'. The room was beautifully finished and included lots of little details including a knitted tea cosy and a hot water bottle with matching cover, blankets, even robes and towels in the bathroom making it a real home from home. The...

Having just done approx 7 mile trek from Langscar Gate , Arncliffe Crags, Stockdale Lane and back again, we decided to treat ourselves to tea at the Listers. What's not to like? Cosy log burner, the days newspapers and great service. Hubby had a pint or three of Hetton Ale, I savoured a large glass of Merlot. Hubby had the...
