We did pay for 3 nights but only stayed 2. Very cold and no heating. They don’t serve dinner any more and the restaurant on the other side of the road was closed. You do not want to drive that road in the dark. The shower is cold most of the times. Nice birds in the area. Go to Miriam’s place to have a good chance to see the quetal.

Excellent location, very nice and warm hosts and good food. The cabins themselves are cozy and comfortable. The location to the Quetzal viewing area is very near and I even saw a Quetzal right in the property behind the cabin I was in. Great place.

Nice place, nice garden and view over the river. We enjoyed our stay watching at the birds and trees. However we thought the cabin was really overpriced for what it was. Mattresses need to be replaced, the terrace is not tiled, and it was difficult to get hot water in the shower which was very slippery by the way. I slipped very badly!, The breakfast was good, dinner OK! Friendly staff.

The staff is very friendly, the food is very good. The location is great, however the room is very cold at night. They offer nice and interesting excursions and there a very good guides available (2xCarlos). The cabin itself needs to be renovated, especially the bath room. Fortunately we could spend most of the time outside. We saw many birds also quetzals two times.

My wife and I traveled with friends and this was our last stop . The road into the valley is narrow and steep, with some patches gravel and some paved . It's a slow but scenic drive . Located next to a river , it is scenic and quiet . We had the 2 bedroom cabin rented . It was not new but adequate for our one night stay , breakfast and dinner were included . They also arranged for us the Quetzal bird watching tour which we took the next morning at 5:30 am. We were not disappointed as we were able to see several Quetzals and our guide allowed us to see them close up on his scope . Highly recommend these cabinas and the Quetzal watching tour.
