My wife and a had a very pleasant two night stay in unit 8. The property is very rugged and beautiful. It was about an eight minute walk from our cabin to breakfast along a path of pavers. Not too steep, but lots of elevation gain getting up to the unit. We had a beautiful secluded location with great views...

Good location and views. The tours were definitely overpriced, transport on the tours were additional to the price. Restaurant and staff good but pricey For alternative walk 200m up the road for Miriams cafe which was warm and welcoming with wonderful bird feeding station

Beautifully located lodge in the Gerardo de Dota valley in the Quetzals national park. Very comfortable accommodation, nice restaurant, tastefully organised art exhibition and personalised service. Great tour guides for bird watching and hiking tours. Highly recommended.

We arrived at Dantica Lodge after a stay in the Osa Peninsula and the cool weather and beautiful views were the first good impressions. We had bungalow nr 3 which admittedly has a beautiful view. However the room wasn't very clean and the furniture in it is very very tired. I couldn't use the table because it wobbled so much...

After our stay at Savegre my stay at Dantica was a bit of a letdown. The room was cramped with loads of furniture and limited walking room. Bed was too soft and uncomfortable. Couch was worn though it sits in front of a huge window facing the hillsides. The bathroom was renovated with a jacuzzi. The shower, when used, floods...

Stayed 1 night March 4th, 2017 in this cabin. Lovely setting and views of the valley below from floor to ceiling glass windows. Stone floors through and a few area rugs. 2 queen beds in each room and full showers/toilet/sink in each. Very clean and beds were adequate...good enough support/softness. Pillows were not great...basically felt like a bunch of cotton...

Spent 4 nights at the Dantica Lodge and enjoyed every moment. This place is at 7000 foot altitude so be very prepared to adjust your hiking capabilities accordingly. Stayed in cabin #4 which is a hike to and from the restaurant/ front desk. But oh such a beautiful hike! Several families of spotted quail live in and around the forest...

We spent 3 nights down near Dominica on the coast and were initially reluctant to leave the beach. This was short lived for as soon as we arrived at Dantica we were happy we decided to stay a few nights in the mountains of Costa Rica. The lodge is truly located in the cloud forest and every evening clouds would...

This is a beautiful lodge in a breath-taking location. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They were so helpful in arranging extra outings for my daughter and I. The guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about birds and where to see them. The food was gourmet quality, beautifully presented.
