We saw this on trip advisor and contacted Heather via e mail. We were informed they had moved to The Old Band Hall, still in the village. We were given good instructions how to find their new residence, a converted old band hall, hence the name. The renovation and extension have all been done extremely well, the rooms are spacious,...

Heather and Peter welcomed us with a cup of tea and a home-made muffing (with home-made jam, yum). They have recently completely refurbished the former chapel, which now forms the accommodation, in a manner which is a mix of modern and tasteful whilst staying true to the historic style of the old chapel. The rooms are very tastefully refurbished, spotlessly...

We stayed at Fern Cottage on Friday evening prior to competing at the British Flyball Championships at Catton Hall. Very friendly welcome and B&B in a nice location. As per previous reviews we found that the attention to detail was superb - we stayed in the Blue Room and everything was very clean and comfortable, with our hosts ensuring we...

Comfort and attention to detail made this B+B one night stay something really special. All credit to Heather and Peter for their relaxed approach yet obvious commitment to the care of their guests. The beds are really comfortable and the breakfast freshly cooked + locally sourced.

We stayed at Fern Cottage last week. We were delighted with our room and with all the little touches that make a B&B special: spotlessly clean, generous hospitality tray, complimentary robes, great selection of toiletries in the bathroom. Heather and Peter were relaxed and so easy to talk to, we felt very welcome and comfortable. This is a gem of...

Wanted to stay at a traditional B&B and we found it. Heather was very welcoming and we were offered tea and cake on arrival. We stayed in the blue room, very cosy. Faclities provided were excellent, including the refreshments tray in our room and the bathroom just across the landing. Breakfast was lovely and a very leisurely, no rush and...

Heather and Peter very friendly and welcoming with a cup of tea instantly offered (and accepted!). Had comprehensive knowledge of local eating places and phoned ahead to book a table for me. Excellent night's sleep on the water bed with attractive white linen. Lots of choice for breakfast and beautifully presented table. Quiet village on a Friday night. Very convenient...

“The village is quiet, so hardly any noise as the building is on a side road. Not much traffic goes through. We live in a cul de sac at home, and were not disturbed by any passing traffic.”
