Wow this place was bad. So you start with a steep mud puddle of a driveway and a complete lack of dry pathways for getting to the cabin. I used the 4 wheel drive mode for the car for the only time in Costa Rica in the yard of this swamp. The room was no thrills. The fridge didn't work. The bathroom light didn't work when we arrived. The shower was at least warm the first night. The curtains were not even big enough to cover the windows.... not only did they let the light in early, they were a perverts dream. The second day all 3 cabins were occupied so whenever one cabin turned on a light something failed in one of the other cabins. There was no hot water for at least 12 hours. Everything was so unreliable that we just went to sleep because we had no reliable light at 7:30pm. One of the groups in another cabin left. It was no better in the morning so we left too. De jolies cabines avec une superbe vue sur le volcan Arenal, la forêt tropicale et le lac. Les gérants sont adorables et spécialistes des reptiles, idéal pour une night walk! Ps : un 4x4 est nécessaire pour accéder à El Castillo car si vous souhaitez repartir sur Monteverde, il vous faudra traverser une rivière ou contourner le lac (très long)
