This appartment is perfect! Great position just 10 minutes walk from the beach across the mangrove bridge. Decorated in beach style and spotlessly clean we had a fantastic stay here. I was sad it was only for 2 nights! Davis was the perfect host. He gave us lots of infomation, booked us onto the restaurant on the first night and even booked us onto a boat Excursion on the Alantara schooner which was fantastic. The apartment was spotlessly clean...every mod con you could want including a coffee machine cooker huge fridge and for us Brits tea and a kettle! The beds and bedding were crisp sheets and comfy mattresses and pillows. Nice bed covers and cushions and wall pictures etc gave it a nice personal touch too. The upstairs villa appartment has two balconies. A huge one at the back with an outdoor sofa and table and and chairs and drying area. Also a small balcony at the front with chairs and a bbq. It has a full kitchen so is excellent for self catering if needed. A chique seating and eating bar area with 6 dining chairs is a airy and fab living space. There is aircon in both bedrooms and fans in the living kitchen area and all of the windows and french doors open and have bug screens so you can get a pleasant through wind in the evenings. There is plenty of on site parking and the villa is very secure, with the gates being closed at night. There are boogie boards, beach towels and beach umbrellas and chairs provided. There are two bathrooms with towells provided as well as an outdoor shower for de sanding. The gardens are still being lovingly created, but there are plenty of off road parking places in the grounds This is a fabulous holiday rental and is very well maintained and brand new. Its great value fie money and us walking distance from what must be one of the worlds most beautiful beaches. Dont forget to visit Lolas restaurant and El Rustico which are both walking distance from the villa! We will be back!

Our experience was like being at the cottage, except in the tropics. The beach was spectacular, and just a short walk from the villa, some of it over a mangrove bridge. The beach was not at all crowded, not like what you see at Tamarindo. You could easily find a secluded spot on any day (we stayed a week, between Christmas and New Years, so a busy time, yet had plenty of privacy and seclusion). David provided beach chairs and an umbrella for us. With proximity to the equator, the shade is needed (as is sunscreen). Surfing was a great experience for our boys. Skill level of surfers ranged from beginners to experts. The waves were not at all crowded and surfers and boogie boarders were friendly and tolerant of each other. You can rent surf boards and boogie boards next door. We did not take surf lessons, but you can easily find a place nearby, even across the road. The location is absolutely ideal for surfing, for walks on the beach, and for swimming in the ocean. The ocean temperature is in the high 70s (F). We were never chilled at all, and at times our boys stayed in the water for two hours. A selection of very good restaurants was either a short walk (two across the road) or a short drive away. We combined eating out with cooking in. Barra Honda National Park is only an hour and half away – we saw howler monkeys and coatis, and of course, the jungle. Howler monkeys could actually be seen (and heard) right around our villa. We got lots of amazing photos of the monkeys as well as of iguanas, just a short walk from the villa. Horseback riding was a short walk away as well (the pick up was at Lola’s, a restaurant just down the beach). We went to a truly authentic local rodeo in Paraiso, just a 15 minute drive. A grocery store was a 20 minute drive away. A lot of the roads here are gravel. You don’t need an SUV as compact cars seemed to do fine, but we were happy we rented an SUV for the extra clearance. We did not have four-wheel drive and got along just fine, although some of the real backroads definitely need it. The newly constructed villa had everything we needed including full fridge with freezer and a full kitchen with pots, pans and utensils. With a family of four, having two full bathrooms (each with showers) was a real convenience. The AC in the bedrooms cooled things down as cold as you liked and at night cool winds broke the heat as well. We had great weather the entire week. The villa grounds are quiet and peaceful. We never had any concerns about personal safety, or of the safety of our belongings, although you do lock doors and gates. David, was a great host, always willing to provide us with guidance and advice about all things Costa Rica as well surf conditions, restaurant recommendations (even reservations), and even about an issue we had with our car rental company. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. If you like being at a cottage, you will like it here! It’s like a cottage in the tropics. We highly recommending David and Pazifico Tropical Villas.

Great location, surrounded by nature. Short walk from beach, and good restaurants. Lots of space, really comfortable, awesome set up. Couple of good sized bedrooms, nice kitchen, living room and dining space in the Villa, great sitting space out front.
