Visiting here was part of a lifelong dream to see Orangutan babies. Was thrilled to see a couple of them but had hoped to get a little closer and see a bunch more. Glad to learn lots about the Orangutans and the conservation support work going on at the centre, but didn't get to connect enough to feel satisfied. Will...

The landscaping of this place was fantastic and the rooms were comfortable, especially for the price. Breakfast was a buffet style - simple but plenty. They have a very small pool that is only really knee deep but is very nice for a quick dip if you've been out hiking in the sun. Key point is the location, 30 minutes...

This place is stunning , lodges are beautiful, clean and spacious . The surroundings are so spectacular you could just sit with a drink and listen to the wild life around you while soaking up the sun laying on your hammock outside your front door . The food was lovely, huge choice, cooked to own preference and a wide range...

The resort is about half an hour drive from Sandakan and was booked as part of our package but highly recommend and would book this again if we ever returned to the area. It is just a short walk away from the Orangutan and Sun Bear sanctuaries. It is set around a small lake on the edge of the jungle...

The resort is just a short walk away from the Sun Bear and Orangutans sanctuaries.Set around a small lake in a jungle setting the resort is great for relaxing and exploring from. We stayed over a long weekend which was perfect and allowed us to do all that we wanted to do. Food was Western/Asia mix but reasonably priced. Rooms...

Just a half hour drive from Sandakan this was a good place to start a tour of Borneo. The main lodge comprising of reception, restaurant, bar and sundeck look out over a man-made lake. The rooms, accessed by a boardwalk, are in individual chalets. They are spacious, well equipped, with an open-plan bathroom but not all of them overlook the...

This really was the best hotel I've stayed in on this trip, I can't recommend it enough. For a start the location is excellent, a 5 min stroll from the orangutan and sun bear sanctuaries and there is a shuttle bus that takes you to see the monkeys. The hotel it's self is lovely it surrounds a small lake and...

The actually room was considerably better than what the photos shows on booking sites. Its newly renovated and a perfect mix of jungle surroundings and modern comforts. Excellent service with the staff, pleasant and responsive. Given the remoteness of the area, its outstanding value and surprisingly luxurious. The location is excellent, right next door to major attractions. The restaurant has...

We were only at the resort one night but very much enjoyed it. The room/chalet was surprisingly nice with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed drinks in the evening and breakfast in the morning at the resort. Staff was attentive and polite. Would definitely go back.

My friend and I stay here for a week in May in separate accommodation overlooking the lake/pond. Each room has a TV, fridge & AC., the shower area of the bathroom is large however the shower does not have enough pressure so a simple shower takes a long time... WC in the same room with only a shower curtain to...
